Jill’s Heart Softens Toward Hugo. Ali’s Determination To Prove Her Father’s Innocence Causes A Rift Between Her & Eloy.
Rosales affirms that Joey had insisted that Helena and Evangelista had just used him as their fall guy. He adds that he hadn’t gotten anything out of Evangelista even after laying out the countless charges against him to make him cooperate.
Ali decides to go and have a talk with her father. Eloy is skeptical about Joey’s claims. Though he continues to insist his innocence, Joey actually comes clean about what Helena had put him up to. Ali gets hurt over how he had used her.
Before he’s taken away, Joey makes a pathetic attempt to convince Eloy that he had nothing to do with his mother’s dëâth. At the mansion, Ali painstakingly informs Hugo about the recent discoveries and he assures her that he doesn’t hold anything against her in spite of the circumstances – they have to bring Helena to justice.
In the meantime, Fred and Heart are taken by surprise when Eloy tells them about Joey’s arrest and involvement with Helena.Rosales questions Helena about her involvement with Joey and she puts on an act. It turns out that it’s all Helena’s plan to cause a rift between Ali and Eloy so the latter will keep Hugo away from the former.
The next morning, Hugo has an episode and begins to throw a fit, demanding for his granddaughter to organize his files since he’s been unable to find something he’s been looking for. As Gemma hurries to notify Ali, Jill gets emotional as she witnesses the scene.
Ali ponders over the probability of her father being innocent and Eloy argues with her on the matter. Meanwhile, Margie goes to confront Joey and she lashes out at him for everything he’s done and making Ali’s life even more miserable.
In spite of the situation, Ali remains determined to prove his father’s innocence. She goes to the precinct to seek Rosales’ help and ends up in another argument with Eloy. Ali strives to reason with Eloy, saying that her father could have been framed just like his had.
