Ali Strives To Prevent Hugo From Seeing The News Headline. Helena Takes Advantage Of Fred’s Resentment Towards Her Brother. Eloy Learns Of His Birthright.
Eloy texts Ali to ask for updates on Hugo and she texts him back with some information. Red spies for a while in a pathetic attempt to copy his strategy to text Tox. The next morning, Eloy is all smiles when he sees a to-do list his father had made.
At the mansion, Ali and the house staff get worked up when they see that Hugo’s condition has headlined the newspapers. Ali plans to make sure that Hugo doesn’t see it. Helena obviously has other plans in mind as she talks to someone on the phone and charges the person to make sure that Hugo sees the news.
While Hugo is about to have breakfast, he begins to go through his phone and Ali quickly snatches it away so he doesn’t see the news on the internet. Her excuse is that he has to have breakfast first before using his phone.
A moment later, Jill shows up and when she tries to give Hugo the newspaper she’s carrying, Ali tries to stop her. However, Hugo eventually sees the paper and he storms off after reading the headline. Ali confronts Jill over what she’s been up to and gives her a piece of her mind.
Jimmy goes to the hospital with Helena to make some enquiries in order to get to the bottom of the truth. Apparently, Dr. Lisa’s assistant was the one who leaked Hugo’s condition. Helena tries to fish for information from Queenie about Ali. Margie reads some good morning greetings from her daughters.
She’s disappointed because she hasn’t received one from Rosales. Speaking of, Rosales is in a bad mood at the precinct. Jimmy has a talk with Hugo about the news leak, stating that he would have to meet the board soon and reveal his successor before they move for a vote of no confidence.
He then brings up Eloy’s legal guardianship and the fact that he had undergone a DNA test to confirm that he’s really his grandson. Hugo is glad to see the test results. When Eloy shows up at the mansion to visit Hugo, Jill tries to get in his way but then after failing to do so, she contacts Helena to notify her.
In the meantime, Helena meets up with Fred and she puts on a show of concern for him and his son and tries to plant ideas in his head. Later that night, Ali and Eloy dine together with Hugo at the mansion. Hugo reveals that Eloy’s acceptance of being his legal guardian also means that he had accepted to be his rightful heir.
