Mariano takes the drink and the glasses from Ambo to serve Cassandra, a token of his special welcome as a resident of the Palace. After Ambo leaves, Cassandra puts the moves on Mariano to entice him even further. Ellen who’s restless at home makes a solemn vow not to let anyone steal Mariano from her and ruin her blasted ambitions.
In the meantime, Cardo glares at Lia with his signature scowl before leaving without saying a word. Lara’s group learns of Ramil’s escapade the other night and they begin blabbering about their mistrust for him. Having been given another transaction to take care of, Salvador asks Ramil to let him do the talking so he can watch and learn how things are done. Ramil declares that he’s capable of handling the transaction and the client himself.
A moment later, Lara’s buddies confront him and express their misgivings for him. The members of Task Force Agila prepare to leave on their search operation to find their leader and ensure his safety. In no time, they come across a police checkpoint and resolve to take another route. Cardo stares down at Lia who’s seemingly asleep in bed.
The irritating couple Virgie and Teddy keep up with their resentment towards our favorite hero and his allies. Acting on Renato’s orders, Jacob sets off to meet with Lito to talk about their business partnership and alliance. Victor and the rest of the guys continue their search for Cardo, being careful not to get caught at any of the checkpoints.
At the Palace, Elizabeth’s suspicions arise again when she learns of the shopping Ambo had done for the president. While Cassandra reports back to Lily about how Mariano had sneaked into her room last night, Ellen who’s dressed to k!ll leaves home for the Palace with the sole objective of enticing Mariano back into her clutches.
Renato is delighted when he receives a legal document from the office of the secretary of justice declaring all the cases against him null and void. Meanwhile, Mariano entertains Cassandra when she comes to see him. Ellen arrives at the Palace and she is evidently alarmed when she learns that Cassandra has been staying in the guest room at the residential wing.
She hurries over to Mariano’s room and dismisses Cassandra before confronting Mariano. Lily is beside herself when she learns that Hipolito is in the Palace. Renato storms his way into the presidential office to face her and gloat over how he’s finally a free man, no thanks to her.
He vows to take over the Palace and the government. Lily cries out in dismay after he leaves. Renato finds Mariano and Ellen having a fight and he urges them to let it go because there are far more important things for them to do. His first plan is to use Mariano to replace all of the top government officials.
