Hugo Surprises Everyone At The Grand Horizon Event. He Manages To Make It Through The Night With Ali & Eloy’s Help. Helena Acts Strange Upon Meeting Eloy.
Hugo reflects on his condition and the situation at the company, worried that he could have an episode in front of everyone when he attends the stockholders event. He reflects on a memory with his late wife, leading up to how he had risen to success. He’s eternally grateful to Olivia for always believing in him.
Anyway, Eloy does some reflecting of his own before keeping an eye on the secret camera he had installed in Hugo’s office through his cellphone. He takes a screenshot of a suspicious photo on the old man’s computer. Captain Rosales orders his boys to get in touch with Pacific hotel upon discovering that Ben had worked there before as a janitor.
The much anticipated stockholders event comes under way at Grand Horizon and Helena takes the stage to welcome everyone. She states that her brother won’t be able to join them and while she’s trying to assure them that he’s fine, Hugo waltzes in with Ali as his date to a grand reception.
He proceeds to the stage and gives quite an impressive speech. Helena goes over to Ali to make conversation and asks how she had been able to convince her brother to show up.Ali recalls it but evades the question. Ironically, she has some details written on her hand in case Hugo forgets an important detail of the company while the event is going on.
On the phone, Eloy tells Red to investigate the photo he had sent him in order to find out what happened at the rally his father was in Toledo. Back at the event, a couple of the board members get together and Hugo takes everyone by surprise with his insistence on not selling the Toledo property in spite of their financial situation. Atty. Evangelista raises an objection and begins questioning his decisions.
When Carlos backs him up, Hugo snaps and demands to be left alone. Evangelista insists on getting some answers and to save the day, Eloy has the DJ play Hugo’s favorite song and the old man happily dances with Ali, much to everyone’s surprise. Fred talks to his fellow inmates about his plan to appeal.
He then reflects on a memory with his late wife.In the meantime, Hugo leaves the stockholders event with Ali after the dance and Eloy brings the car over for them to get in. Atty. Evangelista continues to suspect that there’s something fishy going on with Hugo since he hadn’t answered his question.
Anyway, Helena tries in vain to stop her brother from leaving and when she learns of Eloy’s full name, she wonders if Hugo knows who he really is. Captain Rosales makes a futile attempt to get the hotel to cooperate with him in regards to Ben’s accident.
During the drive to the mansion, Ali commends grandpa Hugo’s performance at the event and Hugo thanks her, calling her “Hanna”. Ultimately, after the old man goes to bed, Ali makes a note in her patient mood diary about the name Hanna.
