The episode begins with the business meeting between Hugo and Atty. Evangelista. The old man asks for his food again and he’s exasperated when Ali cautiously brings over some mere slices of bread and butter. He begins to complain and Ali can only say that his food had suddenly disappeared.
The cooks show up to serve him with a complete meal and Jill doesn’t pass up the chance to ridicule Ali and rile up the old man against her. At the hospital, Ali talks to Queenie about the bad day she had had at the mansion and she trivializes the whole thing.
Eloy digs into Hugo and Atty. Evangelista and he discovers that his family had lived in Toledo before where Hugo has some properties. He reflects on a memory from his childhood where his mother had urged his father to move out of Toledo for their safety.
When Eloy goes to see his father in prison, he brings up the matter and Fred urges him to let it go, saying that Hugo and the attorney have nothing to do with their past. He claims that they moved out of the place because the rent was too high and not because they had been thrëâtened.
In the meantime, Ali is woken up by her alarm clock and her mother counsels her on taking good care of her health above everything else. Later at the mansion, Ali prepares some burgers and sets a trap for the cooks to have a taste in order to confirm whether it meets their standards.
Grandpa Hugo is having a board meeting via video call when Ali goes to serve him his breakfast. Hugo tends to get upset when he makes a blunder with some numbers. Ali goes out of her way to try to cheer him up and he vents out his frustrations on her by shoving her away.
Eloy happens to keep her from falling and after the old man storms away, he expresses his disapproval of his mistreatment. Ali won’t hear any of it though. Later, Eloy gives the old man a piece of his mind and much to the surprise of Dino and Badong, he takes it cool and doesn’t reconsider his decision to have his car fixed.
Meanwhile at the police station, Jess the deliveryman has been caught and Margie lashes out at him for the stunt he had pulled. The guy pleads desperately and eventually, Margie decides not to press charges against him so his children don’t suffer when he’s thrown in jail.
Pat sings the praises of the captain for going out of his way to help them. She tries to convince her mother to invite him over for dinner as a token of their appreciation. Margie begins blabbering about the chief’s good qualities much to Pat’s amusement. Speaking of, Rosales is teased by his men when he receives the dinner invite.
Grandma Heart goes out of her way to help out Eloy with his investigation. Meanwhile, Rosales talks to the chief and manages to convince him to let him see through the hotel theft case. Ali returns home and her family surprises her by displaying the matching rings they’re wearing.
They put on a comical show of “proposing” to her with the third of the triplet ring. The next morning at the mansion, Jill is exasperated to see the ring on Ali’s finger, thinking that her grandpa had bought it for her. She begins whining about how Ali is after grandpa Hugo’s money.
