Hugo Makes Ali’s Job Difficult; Ali Strives To Reduce Her Stubborn Patient’s Stress. Eloy’s Father Reacts Strangely To Hugo’s Name.
Ali notifies grandpa Hugo that it’s time for his next business meeting. She gets to meet Atty. Jimmy, a lawyer friend of his who gladly introduces himself to her. Upon her arrival home, she finds her mother outside with Jess the deliveryman who has recently been bringing her goods at a discount.
Ali checks him out and takes her mother inside to have a talk with her. Meanwhile, Eloy has dinner with his grandma Heart and they talk about his father’s case and how he’s been trying to figure out what Atty. Evangelista is up to.
Ali actually reprimands her mother for being so carefree with the deliveryman, worried that he could be another scammer out to get her. Margie insists that the guy is a good person. She gets upset that her daughter keeps reminding her of her shortcomings.
The next morning at the prison, Pat talks to Ali about the incident last night and she urges her to give their mother a break since she’s really trying her best. They have come to deliver some woven baskets containing some items for the prisoners. Eloy is on his way to visit his father when he sees them. Ali smells his perfume but Eloy is nowhere to be found when she turns around.
Later, Ali lectures Hugo on his excessive coffee intake being bad for his health. The old man makes it clear that his coffee habits is off limits – there would be no adjustments whatsoever. In such a comical manner, Ali has a hard time convincing the cook at the mansion to adjust Hugo’s meals.
Later, she goes to serve the old man coffee while he’s having a business meeting via video call. Hugo starts acting strangely when he sees the coffee mug and Ali pulls a stunt to cover for him. When she tries to end the video call discreetly, Hugo recovers and lashes out at her.
While Eloy manages to solve daddy Ays’ internet problem, the cooks gossip about how grandpa Hugo had made the nosy Ali miserable. Pat arrives home from school to find her mother wallowing in misery on account of her falling out with her eldest daughter, and she urges her to reach out to her in order to make up.
While the gäñg hangs out together, Eloy gets teased over his fondness for Ali. Ali goes to the hospital where she changes into her uniform for her nightshift. She talks to the doctor about lessening Hugo’s daily workload to reduce his stress. Ali returns home to find her family asleep. She sits by her mother’s side, hugs her and apologizes.
Pat sees everything and she’s glad. The next morning, Ali takes a gift to the mansion for grandpa Hugo which Jill evidently disapproves of.While attending to the old man, Ali remains exceptionally mum. As Hugo enjoys a beef dish, he taunts her with how he would be eating that very dish every single day from now on.
Ali remains quiet, doesn’t object and merely signals that it’s time to take his meds. Her strange behavior leaves Jill in absolute wonder and confusion and Hugo doesn’t pass up the chance to taunt her as well. Eloy pays his father a visit in prison and when Fred sees a news clipping of Hugo’s company which he’s carrying, he begins to act strangely.
In the meantime, Ali silently begins working to set up various kinds of games on a desk for grandpa Hugo while the house staff spy on her. When the old man resurfaces, he picks up one of the cross puzzle books and gives Ali a pointed look before throwing it away.
Meanwhile, Margie is upset thinking that Ali hadn’t come home last night when she had waited up for her. Pat clarifies things by telling her what had actually happened. Eventually, Margie is saddened to see how her youngest daughter’s sneakers have gotten so worn out.
