Eloy Pulls A Fast One On Ali; He Begins To Suspect Foul Play Regarding His Father’s Case. Hugo Hires Ali To Help With His Condition.
The episode begins with the staring contest between Ali and Eloy. Ali recounts the encounters she’s had with him from the beginning. She finds his voice familiar and she actually smells him in an attempt to confirm her suspicions. Eloy claims he’s called Michael and once he shakes Ali’s hand, she ties both of their hands together with a band made of leaves.
Ali then begins to make a fuss as she confronts Eloy about him being the hotel thief. Eloy somewhat denies this and the commotion brings out Margie and Pat. Red also hurries over and they try to separate them. When Ali identifies Eloy as the hotel thief, he denies it and reveals that he had come to return Margie’s money which he had managed to retrieve from the scammer.
Margie and Pat get pretty excited and delighted with this, though Ali continues to harbor suspicions for Eloy. Later that night, Eloy and Red regroup with the rest of the gäñg to assure them that they’re all safe because Ali doesn’t have any evidence against them. In the meantime, Ali is at the police station with her mother to report Eloy as the hotel thief.
True to the fact, the captain doesn’t really take her seriously because she has no evidence to back up her story, and Margie scolds her for trying to get such a good Samaritan like him into trouble. At the hospital, Ali sees someone swiping an old man’s phone from the table where he had left it.
She takes it back and goes after the man to return it, only to realize that it’s grandpa Hugo. Ali excitedly tries to chat him up but the old man who seems disoriented doesn’t seem to recognize her. A moment later, Hugo is examined by the doctor and it’s revealed that he’s had Alzheimer’s for a while now and thus, the reason for his memory loss.
The doctor strives to convince him to get someone trustworthy to be by his side always. Hugo gets upset but later ponders over the doctor’s counsel. The next day, Eloy visits his father in prison and as they hang out together, he expresses his dismay over how his appeals keep getting turned down.
At the hospital, Ali is given a nondisclosure agreement to sign because she’s been chosen by Hugo to be his private nurse. Eloy spies on his father’s lawyer and catches him giving his father’s case files to another lawyer (Evangelista) so he enlists the help of his gåñg to get to the bottom of the matter.
Margie is unnerved with her daughter’s new job as she worries that it might be dangerous. Ali tries to calm her nerves, eventually pointing out that she would be paid double her salary. A moment later, Ali arrives at the mansion for her interview and she’s momentarily stopped by Jill (Hugo’s snobbish granddaughter).
Ali carries on for the interview and when she goes to meet Hugo, he makes it clear that he hates loud people and noises. Ali is exasperated but dares not complain. Determined to prove his father’s innocence, Eloy begins tailing Atty. Evangelista. A flashback reveals how the guy had connived with someone to tamper with Fred’s car brake, thereby causing the fatal accident.
The crooked mystery attorney seems to be on the phone with grandpa Hugo. Once off the phone, Hugo goes for his usual walk and Ali is obliged to follow him. Ultimately, Atty. Evangelista goes to see Don Hugo at the mansion and Eloy tails him all the way. He takes photos of their meeting and he’s shocked to see Ali with them.
