Tension Builds Up Between Cardo & Lito As Cardo Begins To Suspect Lito’s Treachery. Diana & Teddy Are Unsettled. Mariano Defies Lily. Hipolito Reaches Out To Arturo Ellen Makes The Bold Move.
Fake Oscar Mariano is reluctant to go along with Ellen’s plan since it could backfire on them and Ellen strives to make him understand her reasons. Eventually, she leaves upset and doesn’t even give her løvèr boy a ki$$. In the meantime, Lily informs Arturo about her sinister plan to have “the president” interrogate Diana and Teddy in an attempt to break them.
Arturo worries that their enemies might see through their charade with just one wrong move but Lily couldn’t care less. Lito rears his ugly head to put on a show of concern for team Cardo. Cardo snubs him when he asks how he’s doing, only to declare that he won’t be working for him anymore. Victor, Jerome and the others support his decision. Ramil is evidently upset but who cares?
Cardo is brooding by himself when Jerome goes to check up on him, finally telling him about the letter Bubbles had left behind as well as the suspected relationship history between Lito and Alyana. Lily and Arturo bring Mariano to the warehouse and the fake president puts on a great performance to throw Diana and Teddy off their game. Though he fails to convince them to give up Cardo’s location, he ends up rattling them with his “evident betrayal”.
As expected, Ramil sucks up to Lito to fawn over him and express his undying support for him as well as his disdain for our favorite hero. Cardo begins to observe Lito and Virgie as they converse at the table. Virgie whines to Lito about Cardo and then her husband’s situation. She lamely requests his help to save Teddy.
Ellen gets upset when her husband refuses to take her along to see Renato. After informing Lily of the situation, Arturo proceeds to meet Hipolito at his hideout. Renato asks him to find a way to get him acquitted of all the charges against him, reminding him of how he had helped him to get Diana’s position at the Palace.
Arturo is reluctant to grant his request and this upset Hipolito on a major scale. Mariano defies Lily when she lashes out at him for slacking off. An altercation ensues and before he can come at her, Lily has her lackeys knock him out. Arturo agrees to help Renato regain his freedom if and only if he first helps him to rescue his daughter. Hipolito is amused by this and he and Jacob express their dismay.
Lito puts on yet another show of concern for Cardo and the group. He even offers to take care of rescuing Teddy and Diana. Cardo blatantly refuses his help and questions him about how the police had been able to track them down. Ramil passes a nasty comment against our favorite hero in favor of Lito who resolves to ignore the question and carry on.
While Ellen broods over her plan to use Renato to fulfill her ridiculous ambitions, Lito plots to eliminate Cardo along with his group before he finds out that he was the one who set them up. That night while Arturo sleeps, Ellen steals away to call Renato on the phone. She requests for his help to bring Lily down and Renato sees it as an answer to his prayers.
The next morning, Cardo says his final goodbyes to his deceased wife. He gives her his last ki$$, closes the coffin and begins to weep all over again. Jerome and a couple of the guys try to console him and the episode concludes as our favorite hero continues to grieve.
