Cardo Struggles To Deal With Alyana’s Dëâth. Arturo Tortüres Teddy. Edwin Makes The Confirmation. Hipolito Becomes Resentful Of Lily After She Turns Down His Desperate Request.
The episode begins with James sneaking into the building where Diana and Teddy are being held captive. Inside, Lily taunts her captives with her sinister scheme for power and dominance and Diana gives her a piece of her mind.
When Arturo mocks Teddy with the dëâth of his reporter friend, he calls him a monster and gets a püñch to the face. Arturo then demands to know where Cardo had taken his daughter. Speaking of, as Cardo continues to sob, the irritating Virgie storms over and greets him with a stinging slap, blaming him for his daughter’s dëâth as expected.
Her useless rantings aren’t worth mentioning. Hipolito looks forward to tormenting Diana and personally k!lling her himself. Arturo has his goons beat Teddy to a pulp to make him fess up about Cardo’s location. Teddy defies them and refuses to talk all the same. Edwin spies for a moment as his allies are being tormented.
When Arturo tries to shoot Diana to make Teddy talk, Lily stops him, not wanting to have any complications with Renato. Cardo limps away from his wife’s remains and he sobs some more as he reflects on some memories they had. Edwin contacts his allies in the Palace to inform them of what he had discovered earlier.
He plans to rescue Diana and Teddy from the clutches of their enemies. The guys are deeply affected by the pain Cardo is going through and a couple of them strive to console and be there for him. Ellen snoops around her husband’s office, desperate to uncover useful information about Renato since she believes that he’s the reason why Lily is in the position of power.
She plans to use him to fulfill hers and Mariano’s ambitions. Lily honors Renato’s invitation, only for him to demand for all the cases filed against him to be dismissed. While Ellen browses the net for information on Hipolito, Lily refuses to grant Renato his wish so that she doesn’t ruin her public image in the process.
A heated argument ensues and Lily urges him to wait for a little longer until she officially becomes the president. Hipolito is outraged. Mariano finds Ellen in Arturo’s office and she tells him about her plan to get in touch with Renato and get him on their side.Hipolito is very upset over how Lily had turned him down after everything he’s done for her.
In the meantime, Mariano tries to make out with Ellen right inside her husband’s office but she turns him down for fear of being caught. Arturo arrives at the Palace and Ellen manages to get rid of Mariano with the promise of going to see him later in his room. James contacts Edwin to discuss the current situation of their captured allies.
The beating Teddy had received begins to take a toll on him and when Diana calls out for help, Eljin resolves to taunt them. Hipolito vows to make Lily pay for refusing him. He and Jacob agree to reach out to Arturo since they have a secret alliance with him. Hipolito declares that Lily can never outsmart him.
