Gio Becomes Baffled With His Father’s Disturbing Actions. David Makes A Ridiculous Deal With Jill – His Life For Her Peace Of Mind.
Jill hurries into the hotel room, only to discover that David has already left with Gio after making a mess there. She goes out and when she meets a security guard, she shows him a photo of her son and learns that David had gone with him to the unstable cliff.
Jill quickly heads over there and she’s distraught to see her misêrable ex standing on an elevation. She’s a little bit relieved when she sees her son nearby and she reunites with him. Gio tells her of how his father “wants to dîe” and Jill goes up there and tries to talk some sense into him. David begins lamenting over how his life has become useless and meaningless.
Jill reaches out her hand and for some reason, he eventually takes it and goes down with her. Gio gladly reunites with his father and a moment later, they dine together at a restaurant somewhere. David eats like he’s not eaten in ages. He expresses remorse for his mistakes and Gio points out that k!lling himself was not the solution.
David then reveals to Jill why their son had chosen to stay with him in the beginning – he had told him that she hated him after birthing him. Jill is appalled with this because she had been suffering from postnatal depression then and David had still used it against her. Gio is in disbelief as he learns more about his father’s lies and deception.
Here’s another unsettling revelation; earlier on the cliff, David had vowed to never let Jill live in peace unless she helps him commit sùiçide. Jill had unceremoniously agreed to grant his wish. After dinner, Gio goes to use the washroom and David takes the opportunity to ask Jill about their deal.
Jill assures him that she’s gotten everything ready for his quick and painless dëâth. When Gio returns, David begins blabbering some pathetic goodbye message. Gio goes ahead to the car and David actually taunts Jill, saying that she’s not won even if he’ll soon be gone.
Jill expresses her disgust of his twisted mind. A moment later, she talks to Gabi on the phone to update him on finding her son. David returns to the hotel room to find the package Jill had left for him. In distress, he reflects on some incidents and contemplates going through with his plan.
Jill arrives home with Gio just as she receives a phone call from Claire, telling her that Dr. Barry’s position as head of the clinic is vacant because he’s been transferred to Manila. Having been endorsed by Claire and some others, Jill gladly accepts the offer since she really needs the job.
David musters the courage to unpack Jill’s package of painless, quick dëâth; the red bottle will make him numb while the red bottle will make his heart stop. David hesitates for a while and out of the blue, he receives a phone call from his son who’s calling to check up on him.
Jill happens to be nearby to overhear Gio telling his father to promise to never try to commit sùiçide again. David merely apologizes and they have a heartfelt conversation. After the phone call, David uses the syringe to administer the drug in the blue bottle as the episode comes to conclusion.
