David Sets Up Charlie, Leaving Him Devastated. Jill Strives To Deal With Her Situation. Claire Makes Jill An Offer. Gio Begins To Feel Unwelcomed At Home & Enzo Tries To Befriend Him.
During a video call, Mika and Max try to talk some sense into Gio to stop skipping classes and start behaving. When asked why he’s not been picking his mother’s calls, he reveals that his phone had been stolen at the arcade earlier. Mika then decides to give him her spare phone as long as she finds it. At the bar, Carol and Sandy make a futile attempt to explain that Jill isn’t really going out with coach Gabi.
David and Lexy who refuse to listen proceed to make a mockery of Jill. David acts all high and mighty as he declares that no one can hide anything from him. He then gives Charlie a look. After failing to reach her son, Jill decides to call Grace on the phone so she can ask Mika about him. Mika assures her that Gio is fine; he had just lost his phone.
Jill can now breathe a sigh of relief. As soon as Charlie comes out of the bar with Carol, Jasmine shows up out of nowhere and begins throwing herself at him. Charlie is at a loss for words as Carol looks on, appalled. When Jasmine plays dumb and asks who she is, Carol announces that she’s the ex-wife. She then grabs car keys from Charlie and gets into the car to leave.
Charlie makes a pathetic attempt to stop her. David comes over to gloat and when it dawns on Charlie, he laments over how he had set him up. David gloats some more, saying that he got what he deserved. The next morning, Charlie tries in vain to stop Carol from leaving the house with her luggage. Meanwhile, David decides to get a brand new expensive phone for Gio.
Jill finds Charlie sobbing outside and learns of what had happened. She can’t help but to feel sorry for the guy. Later, she meets up with Carol who laments over how her husband had never stopped his cheating ways though he had given him so many chances. Jill relates with her. Later, she calls Max to ask for a recommendation so she can buy a new phone for her son.
Speaking of, Gio hangs out at the arcade because he doesn’t feel at home any longer. He sees some guy holding his phone and as he tries to retrieve it, he gets ganged up on by his friends. Conveniently, Enzo shows up to come to the rescue, revealing himself as a worker at the arcade. The next day, Jill goes to support her son for a basketball game in school. She overhears some parents gossiping about her but doesn’t pay any attention to them.
Gio commits a foul that gets him kicked out of the game. A moment later, Jill gives him the phone she had bought for him but he rejects it, saying that his father had already bought one for him. At home, Gio shows attitude that gets him scolded by both Nathalia and Fred.
At Pine Hill Hospital, Claire offers Jill some lame apology for everything she’s done and invites her to a gala for the staff. Jill indulges her so she can go and attend to her patients. Later, she goes to wait outside the school in order to see her son once it closes, only to find out that he’s been skipping classes.
Ironically, David also doesn’t know his son’s whereabouts. Of course Gio is at the arcade playing games again as usual. Enzo invites him home, saying that he has a cool gaming setup which he plays with friends. He asks Gio if he wants to hang out with them and this dümb kid just stares at him silently.
