Gio Changes For The Worst, Leaving Jill Devastated. David Begins To Have Trouble With The Luceros. Jill Faces Another Setback. Enzo Returns.
Gio continues to give his mother attitude even when she tells him that she would be present to support him during his next basketball game. When Jill asks if he’s ashamed of her, he says that his colleagues have been gossiping about her and coach Gabi being in a relationship. Jill then tells her to try to ignore them since there’s no truth to the gossip.
During a practice drill in school, one of Gio’s teammates begins to make a mockery of his entire family, adding that he had been chosen as team captain because his mother hooked up with their coach. The obnoxious guy provokes him to the point where Gio eventually püñches him. Both boys are sent to the principal’s office along with their coach.
Now that Gio’s in big trouble, he decides to call his father to bail him out. Jill finds out about the situation a moment too late from Gabi and after she fails to find her son in school, she hurries home to find him packing up his things. David taunts her with their son’s decision to live with him.
Jill strives in vain to reason with Gio and after David drives off with him, she decides to go after them. Carol who had witnessed the scene tags along. Jill ends up causing a minor accident in her hurry and she abandons her mission to go and tend to the wounded man on the road. In the meantime, David brings Gio to his house.
Jill returns home later that night to wallow in her misery. The next morning, she decides to linger at the main entrance of the school so she can see her son. Gio has his father drop him off at the other entrance so Jill just waits in vain for him to show up. Lexy questions David’s decision to let his son stay with them, worried that his ex would definitely not let things slide.
David justifies his decision of course. Later, Nathalia raises the very same concern. After school is over, Gio comes out through the main entrance to find his mother still waiting there. When Jill tries to approach him, this boy actually runs away from her as if she’s carrying a virus or something. He quickly boards a taxi to get away.
True to the fact that night, Jill storms David’s house while the family is having dinner. And of course she makes a scene, demanding to see her son. David goes to face her and refuses her entry. The Lucero couple reprimand David for the scene his ex had caused last night. David promises to fix things. Nathalia points out that Jill will keep on causing trouble if Gio continues to stay with them.
Gio happens to overhear this part as he’s just leaving for school. Once he’s gone, Fred demands for David to fix the mess he’s created. At work, Dr. Barry and Fuentabella confront Jill over the incident last night, showing her a trending video of it, which had been conveniently recorded by someone. Jill refuses to take a leave of absence so she’s compelled to vacate her position as OIC.
After failing to find her son at school, Jill contacts Diane. Gio is revealed to be playing games at the arcade. Charlie hangs out with David at a bar and they do some catching up and drinking. Meanwhile, Enzo suddenly shows up at the arcade and the episode concludes as he stares at Gio with apparent sinister intentions.
