Jill Finally Catches A Break After David Leaves With Lexy. David Returns With Lexy For His Mother’s Funeral. Jill Has A Fateful Encounter With Her Ex-husband
Jill is still on her medical mission in the province and Sandy urges her to come back to Pine Hill hospital, saying that the clinic and university aren’t the same without her. Jill tells her that she’s comfortable and has peace of mind where she is. Nevertheless, Sandy strives to convince her to change her mind.
Later at home, Gio sees a news report on his father’s financial situation and the collapse of his company. He shows it to his mother, worried about what could happen to his father. Lexy visits home and her mother desperately tries to convince her to let go of David since he can’t take good care of her given his situation.
Lexy refuses to listen, saying that she and David need each other and there’s no way in hell she’ll ever leave him. Jill makes a surprising return to Pine Hill hospital and she’s given a grand welcome and even included in the board of directors. Later, Mr. Lucero meets up with her to tell her that he’s already settled all of her financial problems as well as Gio’s college fund.
All she wants is that he should leave his daughter out of whatever legal action she takes against her husband. Jill says she’s already moved on, and that Lexy is the one he should worry about since she’s the one with her ex-husband. Later, Jill decides to throw a celebration party for her son for topping his class yet again.
She takes him to the venue and after he goes to join his friends inside, Lexy comes over to announce that she and David are leaving for good. He can’t say goodbye to her in person because of the restraining order. David stares at Jill for a while from a distance.Upon seeing Gio, he waves at him but he doesn’t seem to notice.After Jill teaches her class at the university, Dr. Fuentabella, a new HR manager, is introduced to her.
A moment later, she receives a phone call from Minx, telling her that his mother had died from a heart attack. Jill offers her condolences and Minx reveals that David is coming home with Lexy for the funeral. When Jill gets home, she finds her son sobbing. Gio already found out from his dad about his grandma’s death.
In no time, the funeral is held for the late Mrs. Marina and Jill and Gio attend and mourn together with the family. Later, David and Lexy make their appearance all dressed in black to mourn their loss. Sometime later at home, Sandy informs Jill that David plans to stay for good with Lexy.
She then gives her the address of where they’re staying that’s being renovated. Jill goes to the place and slips inside, only to find it deserted. She looks around just as David pulls over outside to see her car there. David goes upstairs and when he notices Jill heading for her car, he hurries out and goes to confront her.
The scumbag taunts her with the success he now has and Jill congratulates him, saying that he finally made it. David begins talking trash and taunting Jill. He declares that he’s come back to fix things with his son. An exchange of words ensues. David flaunts his new house and car and he taunts Jill with the latter and even offers the keys to her for a ride.
Without words to say, Jill grabs the keys and gets into David’s car. She then backs up and deliberately hits the car against the trunk of a tree, much to David’s horror. Jill gets out and throws the keys back to David before getting into her own car to drive away. David looks on in absolute disbelief.
