Mr. Lucero Confronts David Over The Project. Jill Is Appalled To Discover David’s Treachery. Lexy Packs Up Her Stuff To Leave The Country.
The episode begins with Diane keeping Lexy company and listening to her talk about her illicit relationship with a married man. Lexy makes note of how her løver had promised to leave his family for her and their unborn child, but hasn’t followed through with it until now.
She then makes known her decision to leave instead. In the meantime, Sandy pays David a surprise visit at home and questions him about his affair. When she asks who he would choose between Lexy and Jill, David states that he would choose both because he løves them just as much.
Sandy then urges him to prioritize his wife and confess everything to her so that they can sort things out. David becomes suspicious and when he asks if someone had sent her, Sandy reveals that Jill has been asking about the state of their finances. Speaking of, Jill dines with Charlie and strives to make him fess up.
Diane sympathizes with Lexy, even as she laments over how her løver doesn’t seem to want her anymore. She’s decided to leave on this account. In the meantime, David admits to Sandy that he had taken some money from the joint savings account with Jill but would return it soon. With dinner almost over, Jill works at convincing Charlie to talk.
Knowing his intention from the start, she resolves to give herself to him, though painstakingly. They go to a room to get down to business and after it’s all over, Jill uses the encounter to blackmail and threaten Charlie. Later, she returns home to find her husband asleep and after staring at him for a while, she goes to change.
The next morning, Diane helps Lexy to pack up her stuff. Lexy receives a phone call from her father and she refrains from letting him know about her situation. Diane offers to drive her to the airport.Jill is brooding by herself at the hospital when Sandy comes over to tell her about her conversation with David the night before.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lucero confronts David about his inability to get the necessary permits for his project. David tries to play smart but Fred puts him in his place. He laments over how the good name of his company is being drugged through the mud because of him.
Fred then charges David to fix his problem, lest he wouldn’t release the funds to him. In the meantime, Charlie tells Jill of how David had been forced to use her money after a very bad investment. Jill can only hope that David’s project with the Luceros would be enough to get everything back.
She’s appalled to learn that David had forged her signature and also used up their son’s college fund and even taken out a mortgage loan using their house. David hurries to Lexy’s condo, only to find the place deserted. Jill laments over how her miserable husband had squandered all of her hard earned money.
Charlie says she could file a case against him but is certain that David wouldn’t be able to pay her back. Jill asks him to get her certified copies of the documents and she makes it clear that she’s not looking to start an affair with him. Carol arrives home just then and asks Jill to join them for dinner but she turns her down, saying that she has to get back to the office.
Upon receiving an update from Diane, Jill gives Sandy the go-ahead to notify David of Lexy’s plans. David hurries to catch up to stop her but unfortunately, he gets to the airport a moment too late. He begins making a fuss at the reception, and Diane spots him as he tries in vain to verify whether Lexy had really left the country or not.
