David Continues To Føöl Around With Lexy, Delighted To Get Funding For His Project. Jill Is Heartbroken All Over Again When She Confirms That Lexy Is Pregnant For Her Husband.
The episode begins with Jill painstakingly getting a glass of water to go and give her miserable husband to drink. After David stumbles and slumps onto the bed, Jill is compelled to take off his shoes and clothes and put him to bed properly. She then goes through his wallet before going to check up on Gio again who’s now asleep.
The next morning, David wakes up to find his wedding ring on the desk and he puts it on and joins his family for breakfast. Jill leaves early to head for work after subtly evading her husband’s advances. As she walks to her car, Charlie approaches her excitedly to hand over some gifts David had left behind last night.
Jill grudgingly takes the stuff from Charlie and almost slams his hands with the lid of her car’s trunk. The scene was hilarious. At the clinic, Jill thanks Diane for all of her help, confirming that she had found what she had been looking for. Diane sympathizes and wants to help her some more but Jill urges her to focus on her studies instead.
Sandy comes into Jill’s office to ask how she had handled her situation but she doesn’t give her anything to go on. Lexy calls David on phone to whine about how he’s spending time with his son at a basketball game instead of with her. David promises to make it up to her and he’s taken by surprise when he comes face-to-face with Lexy at the venue.
Later, David has an encounter with Mr. Lucero and he receives reassurance for the appointment for his project. Lexy decides to give a couple of the kids, plus Gio and Max, some VIP passes. When Jill learns that Jose is clearing his office of his belongings, she goes there and tries to talk some sense into him.
Lexy grabs another opportunity to get closer to David and urge him to spend the night with her in her hotel room. David objects to the idea, saying that they need to be careful because her father is around. He then reaffirms his promise to make it up to her tomorrow. David arrives home late with his son just as Jill is setting the table for dinner.
Gio begins blabbering about the VIP tickets Lexy had given him and the others, taking his mother by surprise. When she asks about it, David merely says that they had just ran into Mr. Lucero and his daughter at the event. Later, Gio talks with his buddy Max on video call about the fun they had had earlier in the day. Jill walks into her son’s room just as Max is going on about his crush for “Sexy Lexy”.
The next morning, David is delighted to be given the greenlight to make his presentation and he proceeds to Lucero Builders with his secretary with such excitement. In the meantime, Lexy suffers an abdominal pain and she goes to the clinic for a checkup. Upon setting eyes on her, Jill has her escorted to her consultation room ahead of another patient of hers who happens to be a lawyer.
Attorney Dante is compelled to wait for Miss Lucero to be attended to first. While David makes an impressive presentation to Mr. Lucero and his associates, Lexy tells Dr. Jill about how she’s been feeling lately. Jill checks her blood pressure and begins questioning her about her løve and $ex life in order to rule out STDs.
Lexy smugly notes that her boyfriend plans to leave his wife for her because their marriage is falling apart. Jill takes it all pretty well and gives Lexy a small bottle to go and fill for a pregnancy test. David wraps up his presentation and Mr. Lucero who isn’t that impressed asks for a few minutes to vote on the matter with his board.
Back at the hospital, Jill smilingly takes Lexy by surprise by telling her to call her boyfriend because she’s pregnant. Back at Lucero Builders, David is ecstatic when the board agrees to fund his project. In the meantime, Lexy urges Dr. Jill not to tell her parents about her pregnancy so she would do it herself.
After she leaves, Jill breaks into tears. David tries in vain to contact both Jill and Lexy to announce the good news. Meanwhile, Jill informs Sandy about Lexy’s pregnancy and charges her not to tell anyone about it.
