The show begins with Erika, a single mother from Davao who works as an exotic dancer to support her son, Jolo. Jolo is the son of Erika and Emman but Emman left after getting Erika pregnant. Erika’s only support is her friend and neighbor called Bruce.
When Jolo was diagnosed with pneumonia, Erika took up the job as an exotic dancer to pay for his hospital bills. The money is not enough so she is forced to take up various jobs and sell everything in her house to get her son discharged. Once Jolo gets better, he returns home to an empty house and Erika has to work harder to get everything back.
Greg, a client from the club Erika works at, asks him to entertain an important customer. Erika refused because she does not offer private entertainment but she eventually gave in because of the money.The customer, Chito, tries to harass Erika and she hides in one of the rooms. A waiter walks in to bring them drinks but Chito turns her away since he did not order anything.
The waiter attacks Chito and stabs him before she takes a notebook that he has with him.When Greg and his men go to check on Chito, they find him dead and his notebook missing. The notebook is a ledger detailing all the operations of their syndicate. Since Erika was the only person with him, they conclude that she k!lled Chito and took the notebook and so they go after her.
Erika escapes through a window in the room she was hiding after hearing the men speaking. She goes back to her house and tells Bruce what happened. She is afraid that Greg’s men will come after her and end up k!lling her son so she asks Bruce to go away with Jolo – she would come back for him once things blow over.
Greg’s men find out Erika’s address from the club and they go after her. They fail to find her so Greg sends them to check the port and bus terminals. Erika decides to flee to Cebu but while trying to get a ticket to the ship, she sees the waiter who k!lled Chito getting into a ship.
She learns that the ship is headed for Manila and so she decided to go after the girl instead. Greg’s men are still looking for her so she hides in a container carrying fish. The fish is loaded in a truck which then goes into the ship and Erika is able to go to Manila. On arrival, Erika reaches out to her best friend, Bruce’s nephew called Tonyo.
Tonyo suggests that they go to the police but there would be nothing to say since the club never reported Chito’s mürder. Erika’s plan is therefore to find the girl who took the notebook and gave it back to the syndicate. They learn that the waitress’ name was Anna Cruz and they set out to look for her.Tonyo suggests that they start to look for Anna at a place women frequent.
On this note, they head to the mall. Greg finds out that Erika went to Manila and he sends his son Rainier to go after her and bring the notebook back. Meanwhile, another young woman called Carrie arrives home from abroad and her entire family is waiting for her. She is stuck in traffic and she asks her driver to bring her to a mall until rush hour is over.
Tonyo leaves Erika for a while to get something to eat and when she is perusing around, she spots Carrie. She is puzzled by their uncanny resemblance and tries to follow her. She however has to hide when she sees Greg’s men following her. After Erika runs to the parking lot, Tonyo bumps into Carrie while looking for Erika but she pays him no attention.
After Carrie is done shopping, she calls her driver to pick her up at the parking lot. When she arrives, Greg’s men mistake her for Erika and attäçk her. Carrie tries to fight back and call for help. She is able to get away but the men shoot her. She collapses in front of the car where Erika is hiding.
