Kristine Strives To Deal With Her Situation & The Terrible Truth. Joyce Remains Aggressive But Decides To Investigate Alejandra.
Kristine was drinking and crying as she asked Gani what she was going to do with her life now that Joyce had refused to leave her alone. She said she only wanted to move on and leave all the misunderstanding behind but Joyce was not letting her do it. Gani drove a tipsy Kristine home and they found Lourdes sorting out Kristine’s laundry.
Lourdes was holding Kristine’s coat and Kristine entered the house shouting and asked her mother to throw all her clothes away since she was never going to be a doctor. Kristine was very depressed and so she went up to sleep. When Gani left Kristine’s house, he called Noel and told him what Joyce had done. Noel got upset and felt helpless since he could not defend Kristine.
He tried to call her to check in on her but Kristine was fast asleep and the call did not go through. Joyce and Shakira went to see Imelda and Jason and Imelda seemed jealous that Joyce was getting along well with Alejandra. Joyce assured her that she was still her beloved mother and Alejandra could not take her place.
When Joyce arrived home, she told Alejandra that Kristine had been dismissed from the hospital and Alejandra feigned pity for Kristine. She then asked Joyce if she would do her a favor and appear on the posters for her campaign to which Joyce accepted. Jason met up with Leslie and Leslie asked him to tell Joyce to leave Kristine alone so that she could move on.
Jason told Leslie that Joyce had been hurt by Kristine while Leslie told Jason that Kristine believed Joyce had hurt herself to frame her.They both renounced their sisters’ supposed actions, saying that neither of them could do it and that was when Leslie told Jason that maybe both Joyce and Kristine were being pitted against each other.
The next morning, Joyce went with Lawrence to see her family and Jason was bold enough to ask her if she was sure that it was Kristine who had hurt her and that no one else had been around. Joyce told him she was sure that it was Kristine and Jason had to stop interrogating Joyce since Imelda asked him not to doubt his sister.
In the morning, Kristine woke up feeling tired and Leslie went to see how she was feeling. She also gave her a flash drive that Lourdes said had fallen off her work coat.Kristine said that it was not hers and Leslie said she would have it instead. Leslie left Kristine with the flash and she became curious enough to see what was on it.
And there it was, the footage showing Alejandra hitting Joyce. Kristine went down stairs with her laptop to tell her what was going on and she was in time because Gani had just arrived. She tried to play the video again but the flash disc was corrupted. She instead told them what she had seen on the drive and everyone understood that Alejandra had actually pitted them against each other.
Gani took the flash drive from Kristine and said he was going to get someone to fix it so that the video could be viewed. He warned all of them against telling anyone what they had just found out. The evening was Alejandra’s unveiling for her congress seat. Joyce, Lawrence, Madam Salve and her other supporters were there.
Kristine arrived with Gani and was about to accuse Alejandra in front of everyone but Gani managed to stop her since the flash drive had not yet been fixed. Kristine however wanted to try and fix the mess she and Joyce were in. She tried to tell Joyce that they needed to talk but Joyce did not want to speak to her.
As she turned away, Kristine took a glass of wine and poured it on Joyce. Joyce reprimanded her but Kristine’s intent was for Joyce to go to the bathroom where she followed her and locked the door. She tried to explain that they needed to talk but Joyce was her stubborn self so Kristine just came out with it and told her that it was Alejandra who had hurt her.
Joyce dismissed it as lies Kristine was making up so as to save herself but Kristine still tried to explain to her what had happened. She told her that Rigor had pushed a flash drive with the video right before he died and asked her to think hard about what Rigor had wanted to confess before he died. Joyce asked for the footage but Kristine told her that it had been corrupted. Joyce dismissed things altogether and left the bathroom.
Alejandra and Lawrence were waiting for Joyce outside and they asked her if Kristine had hurt her. Joyce said she was fine but when she went to sit down, she went and reanalyzed what Kristine had said to her.Gani took Kristine home and called Noel who had been trying to reach him. He however refused to tell him what was going on but asked Noel to trust him.
The next day, Kristine and her family started packing because they believed Joyce had told Alejandra what she had told her and Alejandra would start hunting them down any time. Ronaldo arrived as they were packing but they told him they only wanted to be left in peace, so Ronaldo left. Joyce did not tell anyone what Kristine had said, not even Lawrence but she confided in Shakira when he went to see her in the morning.
Shakira thought that Kristine might be telling the truth and even Joyce was seeing the light as she replayed past events in her mind. She told Shakira that they were going to investigate.
