Lily & Arturo Carry Out Their Calculating Scheme To Føøl Everyone. Delfin’s Health Deteriorates. Cardo’s Suspicions Of Lemuel Prevails. Lily Ensures The Safety Of Her Evil Plans.
First Lady Lily Cortez and Secretary Padua meet VP Aveliano outside the president’s hospital room in order to cut him off and prevent him from seeing Oscar. Backed by the chief justice, Aveliano makes known his intention to take over the presidency if the president is incapacitated and not up to the task.
Lily feigns surprise and states that her miserable husband is okay but just needs undisturbed rest. The rotten doctor adds authenticity to her statements, compelling the vice president to leave with his people. Meanwhile, Diana informs Grandma Flora and the rest of the family about how Cardo and his team went after the masked güñman.
While VP Aveliano addresses the press to announce that the president is now in stable condition, Major Opeña meets Teddy nearby and makes known her plan to sneak into the hospital and find out what’s really going on there. Hipolito talks to Arturo on phone to inform him that he has the body double of the president. Arturo is delighted.
Cardo returns home with his team to recount their failed pursuit. It is noted that our favorite hero had wounded the güñman and when they all wonder who could be behind the ättaçk, Cardo declares that it’s none other than Lemuel who probably wanted to get back at him. Everyone is skeptical of this so Cardo orders his team to search Lemuel’s room for any evidence.
The guys proceed to search the place and they find it clean. Speaking of, Juan/Lemuel goes to his hideout and talks to Lily on phone about what had happened. Lily scolds him and demands for him to lie low and not add to her problems with Oscar. In the meantime, Hipolito and Juan have Oscar’s double on standby somewhere near the vicinity of the hospital.
Major Opeña has already found a way inside and she runs into Captain Salonga somewhere in the hospital. She’s surprised when she comes to learn of how Lily and Arturo had fooled everyone into believing that the president is well. Juan still wants to get back at our favorite hero some more and even lamely plans to take his wife from him by force.
Opeña regroups with Teddy to inform him of her findings and they begin to suspect something fishy going on. During that time, Lily and Arturo enact their plan to replace Oscar with the body double. Though no evidence had been found, Cardo still has a strong conviction that Lemuel was behind the ättaçk on his house.
Lily has her minions sneak the comatose president out of the hospital through the back and loaded straight into an ambulance. She then displays the body double to the media, claiming that the president has been cleared by the doctor to go home. The fake president is confined to a wheelchair and has a nose mask covering his face.
He refrains from speaking and only makes a hand gesture. Upon arriving at the Palace, Arturo warns fake Oscar not to talk to anyone except him and the first lady. The real comatose president is taken to a room where he’s confined in. Having seen something suspicious, Elizabeth tries to investigate but Lily’s lapdog chases her off.
Delfin’s health deteriorates even further and the officers have him taken to the clinic. Major Opeña talks to Basco about what she had found out at the hospital in regards to the president’s condition. Hipolito is hellbent on making “that stüpïd chemist” pay dearly for messing up.
Lily stops Captain Salonga from going to see “the president”, saying that he still needs rest and isn’t inclined to talk to anyone. She tells Edwin to go home and take some rest and he questions how the president seemed to have recovered so suddenly. Lily taunts him and declares that she would take care of Oscar as his wife.
Arturo briefly joins his family for breakfast, only for Francine and her companions to barge in to gossip about the ättaçk on Cardo’s house. Arturo takes the opportunity to caution Clarisse to stay away from Cardo before she becomes collateral damage. Meanwhile, Ramil and Greco inform Cardo of the CIDG’s official investigation on Lemuel.
Pleased with that, Cardo plans to go around the neighborhood to check the CCTV cameras in hopes of identifying the güñman. Meanwhile, Juan/Lemuel walks somewhere around the neighborhood and he hides his miserable face when he notices some policemen coming his way.
