Haoze & Xinyan Reunite To Continue Their Wicked Ways. Guodong Courts Gu Min. After Acquiring Solid Evidence Against Her Foes, Jiayu Is Devastated To Discover Her Father’s Dirty Secret.
Zhenguo’s dëäth leaves Haoze devastated. When he reaches out to Jiayu, she resolves to put aside her resentment to do the honorable thing. Haoze is compelled to organize his father’s funeral by himself and Gu Min is equally devastated to learn of the terrible news. Xinyan receives cold treatment from Haoze when she makes haste to attend his father’s funeral.
Jiayu’s family life begins to get on the right track. Meanwhile, Xinyan’s relationship with Haoze deteriorates when Haoze receives new disturbing information about her past. In order to honor Guodong’s request, Gu Min goes to the coffee shop and has an unfriendly encounter with Xinyan who’s bitter over her failing relationship with Haoze.
When Haoze comes into the possession of an inappropriate photo from Xinyan’s past, he confronts her. Following the recent disturbing discovery, Haoze makes a pathetic attempt to drop Xinyan and go back for Jiayu.
After putting her ex in his place, Jiayu reaches out to Guodong in an attempt to get him to reconcile with Gu Min. Xinyan cooks up another scheme against her greatest rival at work to save herself. Haoze’s deliberate attempts to get Jiayu back ends in utter humiliation. Jiayu discovers the discrepancies in the invoice.
Guodong finally takes the initiative to reconcile with Gu Min. Haoze isn’t happy to find out what Xinyan has been up to with the investment funds. An unfortunate incident leads Dr. Lin to do the right thing. Haoze’s relationship with Xinyan deteriorates even further after the former learns of the latter’s pregnancy.
Tianming works to save the company from the financial crisis brought by Xinyan’s dubiousness. Guodong begins to date Gu Min while hiding the matter from Tianming. When Haoze makes another attempt at reconciliation, Jiayu deals with him as need be. An untold incident and development compels Haoze to make up with Xinyan.
In no time, Xinyan attempts to strike a deal with Jiayu in order to cover up the evidence against her and Haoze. When Zhengdao gets wind of this, he decides to stop the meeting for fear that Jiayu will find out about his dirty past. Zhengdao’s desperate attempts to prevent Jiayu from meeting Xinyan doesn’t go so well.
Jiayu soon comes to know of the dirty, disturbing history between Xinyan and Zhengdao. Xinyan takes the opportunity to blackmail Jiayu with the sensitive evidence. Tianming begins to investigate Best Company’s contract with Aditya Coffee and when Xinyan gets wind of it, she makes deliberate efforts to cover her tracks.
Haoze takes his shamefulness to the next level. Preparations are hastened for Yanan’s marriage with Jiaxing. Jiayu treats Zhengdao with indifference as she’s compelled to keep his dirty secret. Haoze discovers Xinyan’s shady scheme regarding the double contracts.
Tianming has an intense encounter with Dajiu. Jiayu finally comes clean to Tianming in regards to her reluctance to expose Xinyan and Haoze with the incriminating evidence she holds. As investigation begins in the company, Haoze connives with Xinyan to frame Jiayu yet again.
