Lily Delights In The Downfall Of Her Enemies. Flora & Her Family Suffer Criticism. Diana Teams Up With Teddy. After Wallowing In Misery, Cardo Takes Action & Goes Out On A Personal Mission.
Secretary Arturo Padua is interviewed at the Palace and he blabbers about how he would remain loyal and true to the president’s blasted appointment. He makes it a point to badmouth Delfin as Grandma Flora and her family watch from home. Yolly berates Arturo and criticizes his family of criminals.
Delfin still hasn’t touched his food until now and when the guard urges him to eat something before he gets sick, he merely thanks him for his concern, adding that he has no appetite. Ramil arrives home with a couple of the guys and Flora is distressed to find out that her beloved grandson had been suspended after getting into a fight with a fellow policeman.
Flora relates with Cardo’s situation and takes comfort in the fact that his buddies will always be there for him. At the Palace, Lily feeds Oscar his medicine and he thanks her for making it possible for him to get someone as “trustworthy” as Arturo. Later, the dumb president meets with the miserable ombudsman for an update on Delfin’s case.
Grandma Flora reflects on some dramatic and good times with her brother and the rest of the family. She gets quite emotional and Yolly comes to cheer her up. Alyana arrives home with Letlet to find her dear husband still wallowing in misery. When Letlet asks what’s wrong with daddy, she tries to explain the best way she can.
Lily watches over her dumb husband in bed and silently gloats over how she’s using him against all of her enemies – Delfin, Diana and Cardo most especially. While the Padua family celebrate their good fortune upon their return home, Diana deliberates with Ramil and the others on how to help out our favorite hero.
The next morning, Cardo skips breakfast and heads out alone after informing his grandma that there’s something he needs to do. Before leaving for the Palace, Arturo charges his despicable family to exercise extreme caution in their illegal businesses. Cardo walks into an ammunition shop/shooting range to get high-powered firearms for his personal mission.
Domeng goes with a couple of watchmen to confront Clarice again and she and her mother taunt them with their closeness to the president before kicking them out. While our favorite hero begins target practice, Diana has a talk with Grandma Flora about their family’s situation. She notes that the president is also a victim in the scheme, then promises to help Cardo and bring Lily to justice.
Delfin talks with his lawyers about the case and hopes that the trial would begin soon and be done with. At the Palace, Lily worries that her frame-up could backfire and Arturo gladly offers to bury the evidence. Meanwhile, Cardo storms into the Golden Thrift Bank to confront the bank manager.
In a fit of rage, our favorite hero faces the miserable woman and vows to drag her to jail himself once he finds evidence that she had participated in the frame-up of his grandpa. Yolly ends up in a fight with Francine, one of the lackeys of the Paduas after she had berated Delfin and their family.
Grandma Flora comes upon the scene and breaks things up. She later counsels Yolly against resorting to violence, reminding her that Alyana who’s a part of their family, is the community captain. Diana talks to Cardo on phone and gives him some information on the accountant. She then proceeds to call Teddy to ask for them to meet up and discuss Delfin’s case.
In the meantime, Cardo tracks down an old friend of his called Miguel Clemente. At the cafe, Diana has a talk with Teddy about her plan to prove Delfin’s innocence and expose Lily. She makes mention of the disappearance of Mei Lin’s dead body and wonders out loud the mystery behind it. Teddy agrees to help and Diana urges him to be careful.
While Miguel brings Cardo to his house, Secretary Padua meets with General Dela Cruz to “look into” the evidence against Delfin with ulterior motive. Meanwhile, Cardo asks for Miguel’s help to get incriminating evidence against the accountant involved in Delfin’s frame-up. He’s suspected of running a carjacking business and Miguel agrees to help Cardo with his investigation.Read Next Episode on Brothers Episode 555
