Tupe Suspects Peterson Of Being The Shooter. Peterson Continues With His Good Guy Act. Rita Meets Peterson & Tupe To Discuss Andrew. Olivia Reaches Out To Rita & Soon Winds Up Dead.
Rita was with Raymond at home and she recounted to him the police visit at the hospital earlier, going on about how she was amazed that Tupe hadn’t implicated Peterson since they all knew that he was the only probable suspect who had a grudge against him.
In his hospital room, Tupe told Simon of his suspicions – he had a strong feeling that Peterson was the one who had shot him. Simon is shocked. In spite of her similar suspicions, Rita hoped that Peterson wasn’t capable of what had happened to Tupe and Raymond decided to curse whoever was responsible.
A surprised Simon asks Tupe why he hadn’t accused Peterson of the crime in front of Rita and Tupe told him that he didn’t want Peterson to know that he suspected him since he could manipulate the law and cover his tracks.
Tupe vowed to protect both Rita and their baby from Peterson. Ironically, Peterson went to Rita’s place to see Andrew and he managed to convince his mother-in-law to give him another chance with the promise of changing for the better. Just then, Rita came downstairs with Raymond, talking about going to see Tupe at the hospital.
They were both surprised to see Peterson. When Peterson set eyes on them, he pretended to be surprised to find out that Tupe had been admitted at the hospital. He put on a show at Rita’s expense, even to the point of asking if Tupe was fine. He offered to help and asked if they knew who had shot Tupe.
Rita watched him suspiciously and told him that they did not know who shot Tupe. While Tupe was still recuperating at the hospital, he received a visit from Meggie who had come with a fruit basket and well wishes from the people of Talisay.Hannah was taken by surprise to see Kiko who had also come to see how Tupe was.
When she confronted him, he merely told her that there was a reason why he had started avoiding her. Hannah gets fed up with his vague speech and storms off. Tupe sent Peterson a text and asked to meet with him after he was discharged from the hospital. Tupe told Peterson that he wanted them to put their differences aside for the sake of the baby.
He made it clear that he would not stay away from Andrew and Rita and would make sure to protect them. He also added that he would find the person who shot him. In that moment, Olivia secretly went to see Rita and told her to cut ties with Peterson already if she really wanted to divorce him.
She said that Rita gave Peterson hope by allowing him to see the baby so she should leave him for good so that he could move on with his life. Rita called both Tupe and Peterson to her house to discuss how they would work around taking care of Andrew. She said that each of them would get 3 days to see Andrew and she would have Sunday to herself.
She asked both of them not to come then. Peterson was heartbroken when he got home since he felt that Rita favored Tupe over him. Olivia asked him to let Rita go but Peterson said he would not be able to live without her. He said that he was lost before he met Rita and she gave him direction after he met her.
Olivia then called Rita and asked her to give Peterson another chance because he was not handling their break up well. She added that he was trying to change because of her but Rita said that Peterson needed to do it for himself. Olivia thought that perhaps Rita was right and she went to sleep.
