Joyce Is Devastated When She Finally Remembers Ronaldo As Her Assailant On Her Wedding Day. Ronaldo Desperately Tries To Save Himself. Joyce Remains Ignorant Of The Impending Danger.
Joyce and Lawrence met Alejandra and the wedding planner for their wedding preparations. Alejandra suggested that they wear black as a theme for the wedding. Noel went to see Kristine and made up with her, asking that they avoid talking about Joyce.
Kristine, Noel and Lourdes went to church for a walk and bumped into Alejandra, Joyce and Lawrence who were planning on getting married in the same church. As always, Alejandra picked a fight with Lourdes, telling her that she would prolong her annulment to Ronaldo so that the two of them would not be together.
Lourdes went to attack Alejandra but it was Joyce who defended Alejandra. Lawrence insisted on not making a scene at the church so they left. While talking about the incident, Kristine said Joyce was to blame and Noel had to implore her to stop because they had agreed not to talk about Joyce.
At home, Lawrence, Jason and Joyce were talking about Levi, Joyce’s father as she wished her father would be around for her wedding. Lawrence said that he wished his father would attend his wedding although they did not get along.
Joyce met up with Ronaldo and implored him to go to his son’s wedding because Lawrence really wanted him to be there. Flashing forward, it was already JoyLaw’s wedding! That day, Kristine was getting an award as a doctor too so she was not planning on attending Lawrence’s wedding.
Ronaldo went to Kristine’s awarding ceremony but Kristine asked him to go to his son’s wedding instead since it was a big occasion for him. Joyce was getting ready for her wedding and looked stunning! Lawrence wanted to see her before they set out but Imelda did not let him, claiming it was bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.
As Lawrence was leaving, he bumped into Ronaldo who congratulated him and told him he had come because Joyce had asked him too. Ronaldo asked Lawrence to go ahead. He waited for Joyce to congratulate her as well. Jason and Shakira went ahead as Imelda waited for Joyce in the car.
Ronaldo and Joyce had a pleasant chat as she thanked him for supporting her and giving her something to get back on her feet but things turned sour as Joyce had her memory flashes once again and this time, she clearly remembered Ronaldo as the person who had tried to räpe her! She started shouting at Ronaldo, saying she remembered him. Ronaldo was aghast with worry but before he could say anything, Joyce ran off. She arrived at the car crying.
When Imelda joined her, Joyce told her she remembered what had happened to her but Imelda did not take much heed of this and asked her to focus on the wedding. Mike found Ronaldo staring into space, wondering what would happen now that Joyce remembered everything. Ronaldo decided to go to Kristine and Lourdes instead so that he could explain to them what happened.
Kristine was waiting for Noel at her awarding ceremony when Ronaldo returned. He looked disturbed and Kristine asked him what had happened. Ronaldo switched his story and told Kristine that Joyce was claiming that he was the one who had harmed her two years ago.
Kristine remembered Ronaldo confessing to her that he had done something terrible but Ronaldo swore he had not harmed Joyce. Kristine therefore assured Ronaldo that she would defend him against Joyce’s accusations. Ronaldo asked Kristine and Lourdes not to believe anything Joyce said.
With that, they all went to stop Lawrence’s wedding because they were convinced Joyce was marrying Lawrence as a ploy for revenge. When Joyce and Imelda got to the church, Joyce would not leave the car and could not stop crying. At last, Lawrence had to talk to her because he thought she was having cold feet and Joyce agreed to marry him.
Alejandra had talked to Rigor earlier and asked him to wait until she was close enough to Joyce so that it would seem like someone had tried to shoot Alejandra instead because of her political campaign. Imelda had a final talk with Joyce and asked her not to embarrass Lawrence by refusing to get out of the car.
Joyce agreed to fix herself up but before she left the car, she called Noel who was about to leave for Kristine’s awarding ceremony. She told him she was sorry about their baby Lea and then hanged up.
