Peterson Convinces Rita To Return Home. Tupe Is Free From The Malpractice Case. Kiko Strives To Befriend Hannah. Rita Gives Tupe Evidence Against Olivia; Tupe Sympathizes With Her Situation.
The episode begins with Rita making her way home. Her condescending mother criticizes her for always giving her husband a hard time. She wasn’t happy that she hadn’t gone home with Peterson when he came to pick her up. Rita merely says that they had both talked and agreed to spend the night apart.
In the meantime, Peterson ponders over the recent conversation with his wife, and Rita does same in her room. When Peterson arrives home, he informs his mother about how he had convinced Rita to keep silent about the delicate matter that could ruin the good name of their family. Olivia promises to ensure his victory in the coming elections.
Tupe tucks in Hannah when he finds her already asleep upon his return home. The next morning, Rita returns to her matrimonial home and is compelled to live in harmony with her husband and his mother for the sake of their family. Tupe receives good news from his friend regarding the malpractice case that had been filed against him.
He’s glad to know that he wouldn’t have to lose his license anymore because miss Perla had redrawn the case. He thanks his friend for all of his help. Later, Perla shows up to apologize for all the trouble she had caused with her accusations, confessing that the Alvarezes had bribed her to do so.
She had accepted it because she was in desperate need for money for her mother’s hospitalization. Tupe sympathizes with Perla as she breaks down. He then declares that they would definitely get justice for all the people who had gotten sick because of the water pōisøning.
When Hannah wakes up, she sees a text message from Kiko asking how she’s doing. Kiko is baffled when she doesn’t reply him for days. Later, Hannah gets upset when a customer who had made an order for one of her bags cancels. Kiko suddenly shows up with an envelope for Tupe and some breakfast for her.
Hannah gives him the silent treatment and signals for him to disappear after he’s dropped the food on the table. Once Kiko is gone, she grabs it and is all smiles when she opens it. Peterson is at the office and he continues to worry that the issue with engineer Abad and Vela Mines could jeopardize his campaign.
Meanwhile, Tupe comes to see Rita in her office to talk to her about the water poisoning case. Since Rita can’t testify to help him, she gives him the confession recording of engineer Abad as evidence against Olivia. Tupe relates and understands her position and reason for remaining silent.
He apologizes for all the trouble and wishes her and her baby well, adding that he doesn’t resent her for any reason whatsoever. Rita gets emotional and after Tupe picks up the flash drive and leaves, she breaks down. Peterson objects to his mother’s plan to use Tupe’s past with Rita to help with the case, not wanting his dear wife to be involved in a scandal.
Instead, he suggested that they use Tupe’s corrupt father to ruin his credibility. When Abad makes public his confession, the Alvarez family comes under extreme scrutiny and criticism. Peterson and Olivia strive to deal with the fallout.Read Next Episode on When Love Burns Episode 24
