Rita Confronts The Engineer About The Issue With Vela Mines. Peterson & Olivia Strive To Cover Things Up. Tupe Risks Getting His License Revoked On Account Of The Accusations Of Negligence.
Rita met with engineer Abad and asked him about his involvement in the closing of the mine. Abad claimed that he had nothing to do with the mine closure since he was in the management team. Rita asked him about his meeting with Olivia and Abad said that he only met with her to ask for a job.
Tupe was waiting outside to hear what the engineer told Rita. When she told him, he told her that Abad was lying. He accused Olivia and Peterson of trying to have his medical license revoked because he was investigating what happened at the mine.
Rita then told Tupe that he could not accuse them without proof. She went home where Peterson and her family were waiting. Peterson asked her why she did not pick up his calls and Rita said that she had been at a meeting with Raymond.
They played a guitar together and Peterson said that she wanted to give Rita a happy family. Hannah was kicked out of the community she and Kiko were working at for putting fire on the boxes Kiko made. Raymond, who ran the foundation, had her transferred to Talisay, to help Tupe with his work. She and Kiko however seem to have made up.
The next morning, Rita asked Olivia about her involvement with engineer Abad. Olivia said she didn’t know him personally and only met with him about a job. Later, Olivia spoke to Peterson and told him to stop Rita from looking into Vela mines.
Peterson asked Rita why she was suspicious of his mother. Rita told him that she had spoken to Tupe but assured him that he was the one who came to see her. Peterson told Rita that they had bought the mine because they cared about the people of Talisay and there was no other reason.
Tupe’s reputation at Talisay suffered a great deal after the accusations of negligence against him. Patients refused to let him attend to them. Tupe insisted that Olivia was behind the incident but his friend told him that he could not accuse her without evidence.
Instead, he suggested that Tupe should talk to the woman who accused him to either reach a settlement or convince her to drop the case. On this note, Tupe went to see the woman again, hoping to convince her to tell him what was going on. She seemed afraid and told Tupe that the best thing for him was to leave Talisay.Read Next Episode on When Love Burns Episodes 21
