Jiayu Finally Regains Custody Of Ruirui. Haoze Is Devastated To Discover That He Can No Longer Father A Child. Li Zhengdao Returns In Search Of Jiayu & Fenfang.
Yanan becomes upset with Jiayu’s reaction to Xia Xin in spite of the fact that she had connived with Xinyan and Haoze to frame her. She reaches out to Tianming and urges him not to directly confront the matter but to protect Jiayu in a more secretive way.
On this note, Tianming tries to find out the identity of the anonymous emailer. Xinyan cooks up another scheme against Jiayu, only for Xia Xin to publicly expose her as the mastermind of the destruction of the baking machine.
When Tianming discovers the truth, he confronts Xinyan and is soon faced with a dilemma. Jiang Chengyu helped Jiayu to gather vital information that would help her with the custody case.
Haoze drowns his sorrow in alcohol after discovering that he’s infertile. He soon receives a lawsuit, courtesy of Jiayu. Desperate to save herself, Xinyan urges Haoze to hand over Ruirui to his mother so she would bare a son for him instead.
As expected, Haoze blatantly refuses since he can never father a child again. Haoze begins to make trouble with the Li family and Jiayu refuses to back down or give up the fight for custody. Xinyan begins to suspect that her husband could be hiding something from him.
In order to ensure that Ruirui would choose to stay with him over Jiayu, Haoze changes drastically towards her, surprising everyone. When this fails, Xinyan resorts to her manipulations. On the day of the court hearing, Jiayu is shocked by her daughter’s behavior. Ultimately, she discovers the scars on her body.
In a fit of rage, Jiayu confronts Haoze and slaps him with the disturbing truth. On account of Ruirui’s long-term abuse at the hands of Xinyan, Haoze loses his custody rights. Jiayu finally brings her daughter home and begins to get suspicious of Xinyan’s “parents”.
Shen Fenfang has a memory flash of Xinyan’s attack and inadvertently takes it out on Ruirui. The family make deliberate efforts to cover up the result of the custody case so that Zhenguo doesn’t find out. Haoze secretly goes to the hospital for an operation, hoping to remedy his situation.
Xinyan is provoked to further suspicions following Haoze’s sudden change in behavior. Following a nightmare that Shen Fenfang had, Jiayu begins to investigate the accident that had led to her memory loss. Meanwhile, Gu Min falls into a trap. Haoze confesses his situation to Xinyan.
Li Zhengdao returned home after hardships, only to find out that his family had undergone tremendous changes. Jiayu’s suspicions of Xinyan’s “parents” intensifies. Ultimately, Li Zhengdao sets off for Haoze’s house in search of Jiayu and her mother.
