Lily Recuperates. Hipolito Plots To Make President Hidalgo His Puppet. Cardo Begins To Suspect Lily; He Plans To Figure Out Lazaro’s Motive In Regards To The Attempted Assassination.
Cardo and his comrades deliberate on the possible motive behind the chaos that had happened recently. News circulates on TV about the suspect who had attempted to ässassiñate the president and his wife. When Hipolito and Jacob see a photo of Lazaro’s corpse, they make mockery of him and take sick pleasure in his demise.
Following Lily’s successful operation, the doctor updates Diana and Delfin on her condition after placing her in an observation room. Mei Lin takes advantage to sneak into the room to see her puppet master who’s still unconscious.
She gets emotional, beating herself up over her failure to protect Lily. President Hidalgo regains consciousness and he gets pretty worked up when he learns of what had happened to his miserable wife. Upon arriving home, Cardo tells his family about what had happened to Lily and Oscar.
Stanley continues his shady business of blackmail. At the hospital, Lily finally wakes up to see Mei Lin by her side and now, it’s her turn to be emotionally dramatic. A moment later, she’s transported into Oscar’s room and he gets dramatic and assures her that no one would ever be able to hurt her ever again.
In the meantime, Hipolito and Jacob celebrate Lily’s survival and they eagerly look forward to the money and power they would use her to amass. At home, Diana, Delfin and Cardo discuss the attempted assassination. Diana brings up her investigation on Salazar and suggests that whatever information they’re able to find out about him should be kept confidential.
Cardo speculates that Lily might be hiding something from them and that the president’s life could be in danger. Cardo has a talk with his team about the matter at hand, bothered by what Lazaro had said about Lily before he had been güññed down. He notes that they have to find out who Salazar was as well as his connection to Lily.
President Hidalgo addresses the shooting incident during a press conference at the Palace. As expected, Hipolito is blamed for it. Lily has Mei Lin send Renato a text message, telling him to lie low for a while. Renato replies, saying that Lily should make Oscar return to the Palace so they can carry out their plan.
Apparently, they have an undetectable drug that can control the brain, and they plan to use it on Oscar to make him their lapdog. Hipolito and Jacob take sick pleasure in their evil intentions and look forward to make the president high on drugs and under their control.
Cardo lies in bed with his wife and tells her of her suspicions regarding Lily on account of Lazaro’s final declaration. Cardo states that the president’s life could be in danger if it turns out that he had indeed married the wrong woman.
Alyana is skeptical and in disbelief but who cares about her opinion anyway? Hipolito discusses his plans with Jacob; they must get rid of every single obstacle surrounding the president in order to ensure the success of their plan – Diana, Delfin and Cardo rank high on the hit list. On phone, Stanley orders his men to k!ll off the åbdücted children of a client who had failed to pay off his debt.
Krista happens to overhear this and she’s horrified. Meanwhile, President Hidalgo checks up on his wife before leaving for the Palace. At his hideout, Hipolito commends Lily’s achievement but declares that it’s his game and everyone’s going to play by his rules.
