Malia has a talk with Jake, hoping that Erin will be able to convince her grandpa Noah’s friend to join their cause. On her way home, she runs into Tristan who asks her to hang out with him for a bit. Tristan takes her to a nearby shop and they sit right in front of it.
On several occasions, some customers inadvertently interfere before they can begin conversing. Eventually, Tristan commends Miyo’s look and asks if she had gone on a date and she explains that she had just applied for a job which didn’t go so well. They cut their talk short when the shop owner announces that she’s closing up.
Tristan thanks Miyo for hanging out with him and they soon part ways. At the new Toralba residence, Ischar, a.k.a Madam Star, comes to see her new tenants in the company of Dory. They strike up some conversation to get to know each other a little and Dory suddenly asks of Tristan and Betty tells her that he’s a workaholic like Miyo.
Speaking of, Miyo arrives home to find only Greta and her baby whom their parents had decided to name Kisses. As Greta wishes, Miyo handles the baby Kisses in her arms.Madam Star notices Tristan walking away from Delia’s shop and she quickly hurries into her house to avoid him. A moment after Tristan has gone inside the Toralba house, she peeks through the window to find nothing.
The fortune teller/landlady begins wondering what Tristan is doing in the neighbourhood. At his lair, Supremo and his minions watch a news report on senator Mallari and his campaign strategy. The evil vampire lord charges his lackeys to deal with his prominent rival in the elections.
“We need to stop him. I don’t want you failing. If anyone tries to stop you, if anyone tries to meddle – like the group you encountered before – k!ll them immediately. K!ll the women first. It’s time to take the next step forward in spreading evil.”
Madam Star mumbles Jethro’s words of prophecy while she sleeps, inadvertently waking up her daughter in the process. As her daughter tries to shake her awake, Madam Star wakes up with a start, panting and lamenting over what she had seen.
The next morning, Tristan wakes up to find the house completely empty and he goes around in a desperate search for his family.Erin, Gael and Lemuel set their sights on Omar once he comes out of the gambling house. Charging the others to stay behind, Erin goes after his former mentor.
Meanwhile, Tristan is relieved to learn that his family is with the Lumakads. A news airs on radio about senator Mallari’s scholarship program for qualified students who want to be enrolled in elementary, high school or college, and Dory asks Apple to come with her when she goes to apply for her kids.
“I’d løvë that,” Apple says excitedly. “It will be one less expense for my brother.”
Tristan shows up just then and Betty tells her that they hadn’t woken him up earlier because he looked exhausted and seemed to be sound asleep. Tristan asks that they wake him up either way so he doesn’t worry. Meanwhile, an overweight drunk begins causing trouble around Delia’s sop when his drinking buddies begin making fun of him. The jackass brandishes a kñifë and swings it around. After securing their families inside the house, Malia and Tristan hurry over to the scene.
The watchmen in the neighbourhood try to restore calm and order but the troublemaker goes on a rampage, ättaçking anyone within arm’s reach. Tristan springs into action and evades the incessant attacks of the goon, eventually stunning him for a moment with a spinning kick. Miyo backs him up and the goon makes the mistake of redirecting his madness on her, only to be outwitted and subdued by her.
As the watchmen take the troublemaker away, the onlookers commend Tristan and Miyo for their bravado. Tristan stares at Malia/Miyo with impression.Omar is confronted by his opponents from his recent poker game and they accuse him of cheating to win. They gang up on him and when Omar bests them in hand-to-hand combat, they güñ him down and rob him.
Coming upon the scene, Erin fires off warning shots which sends the scumbags running. He helps Omar up, only to be attacked. Erin fends him off but he eventually gets pinned down. He asks for his help but Omar lashes out at him and eventually dashes off when he notices Gael and Lemuel watching.
“You showed good form,” Tristan says to Malia. “Where do you train?”
“I used to work in a carnival,” Miyo/Malia claims. “People there always caused trouble so I got used to it. You’re pretty good yourself too.”
“It’s different with me. I train every Sunday. Come with me when you’re free.”
“Okay.”
