“Dangerous missions require dangerous training. You’ll undergo training with other Moonchasers from other units. Where is Tristan? Has he given up? He couldn’t handle it? If you would rather leave, you may go now.”
Tristan is fawned over by his aunt Summer in an attempt to discourage him from pushing through with his plan to leave the house. Surprised by the suddenness of it, Betty asks of his reason and Tristan merely says that they all don’t fit in the room they stay in. Later at the auto shop, he takes Miyo along with him to find a place to move into in her neighbourhood. They go asking around and soon come upon some trouble – an old drunk who tries to extort money from them.
Miyo puts him in his place and out of nowhere comes a group of men that surround them. Malia/Miyo and Tristan brace themselves for the inevitable fight and suddenly, Berto shows up to disband the guys and put them in their place. He eventually roughs up the guy who had been disrespecting his ‘kids’ before cautioning the others strongly against messing with them.
”Everybody, go home,” Berto demands as Miyo and Tristan are held spellbound. “You people stink! Go on!”
“C’mon, let’s go. Time to take a bath.” one goon says to the other.
“Please excuse the people here,” Berto says to Tristan and Miyo. “We’re just looking out for each other. Out here, we’re ready to fight to the death.”
Supremo is informed of the tight security surrounding Ningning at home, as well as her strange behavior which makes it seem like she has no idea of what happened to her boyfriend. Vampire Nognog objects to it and states that a human had been bitten right in front of Ningning.
Supremo then urges his minions to find the group that is intent on protecting Ningning. Later, the evil lord vampire offers the newly turned vampire a live, conscious woman to feed on. Nognog is reluctant to go through with it, even with Supremo breathing down his neck and trying to persuade him.
Tristan’s greedy aunts Summer and Winter devise a plan to extort money from their nephew and have control over the trust fund his late father had left for him. While packing up their things, Betty is taken by surprise when she finds Tristan’s Moonchasers wëäpon.
Meanwhile, Tristan finds an already furnished house to move in with his family with a little help from Dory and Miyo. He thanks them for all their help and Dory offers to send over his down payment to the owner of the house while he goes to pick up his family.
“I want to ask you something,” Tristan says to Miyo a moment later. “Are you gay?”
Malia/Miyo stares in disbelief. “What?”
“I just couldn’t help but noticed that you have been staring at me a lot.”
“Yes, I have been looking at you because I wonder about you. You have been in such a hurry to move here. You might not share it with me, but I know you have bigger problems.”
Dory brings Tristan’s money to Ischar, who happens to be Madam Star, the fortune teller who had encountered Malia and Tristan on several occasions. She hands Dory a tip and asks if the renters are nice people.
Meanwhile, Tristan makes it clear that he won’t be telling Miyo his problems, stating that that’s what men do – carrying the world on their shoulders and keeping their problems to themselves. Malia/Miyo doesn’t seem to understand him. Later that night, Tristan meets up with his Moonchasers buddies to discuss the sighting of Lemuel and they offer to keep a close eye out until they’re able to move.Read Next Episode on The Blood Moon Episode 17
