Rita & Peterson Get Into A Ghastly Car Accident; Tupe Comes To The Rescue. Rita Runs For Office In Her Husband’s Place. Tupe Strives To Build His Own Hospital.
Tupe visited his doctor to get medication for his arm. The doctor was worried because Tupe had been experiencing a lot of pain. He wanted to have his arm examined but Tupe insisted that there was no need for that; he said he was fine and only wanted the medication.
After wrapping up a campaign, Rita and Peterson went for a drive, with the latter behind the steering wheel. Unfortunately, they ended up in a serious car accident. Tupe was on his way home when he came upon the scene and he attended to the wounded couple before the ambulance arrived.
He was shocked to see and recognize Rita but didn’t go with her to the hospital. Peterson suffered major injuries as a result of the accident. He went into a coma and the doctors did not know when he would wake up. On this note, his political party decided to look for someone else to run for Congress.
A picture of Rita talking to a sickly woman went viral so the party decided to let her take Peterson’s place. Peterson’s mother didn’t like the idea and was pretty much against it. However, Rita agreed to take her husband’s place in order to continue the good work he had started.
As fate will have it, Rita won the election and became a congresswoman. At this time, Peterson woke up from his coma and began to recover at the hospital. It didn’t take long for the relationship between Rita and Peterson to become strained.
On one occasion, Rita refused to grant Peterson and Olivia the license to carry out a major project for their company because it would be harmful to the environment. Peterson and Olivia got upset with her, even as she made it crystal clear that she did not join politics to help them with their illegal businesses.
Tupe was still hoping to build his own hospital. When he found a plot that was for sale, he went in search of the funds he would need. The potential sponsors wanted to use it as a campaign gimmick to join politics.
Because of this, Tupe decided not to accept their help. Soon enough, he realized that the people in his community were usually getting sick constantly. Tupe examined the water and found out that a company was dumping waste in the river.
