Jiayu’s Mother Confronts Haoze. Tianming Takes Mongchun (Jiayu) For Hypnotherapy To Regain Her Memories. Dajiu Keeps On With The Search. Xinyan Desperately Tries To Protect Her Dirty Past.
Haoze lamely indulges his daughter as she pesters him with questions about his mother. Xinyan barges into the room excitedly with a photo frame of Weiwei and her mother (Jiayu). She hands it to the little girl and asks for her forgiveness and Weiwei snubs her and goes to bed.
The next morning, Shen Fenfang (Jiayu’s mother) confronts Haoze at his workplace over his decision to divorce Jiayu in spite of everything she’s done for him and his family. Haoze puts on a pathetic show, whining about how Jiayu had dealt so cruelly with him. Meanwhile, Tianming closes up shop early and he takes Mongchun to a hospital so she can undergo hypnotherapy in hopes of regaining her memories.
After going shopping with Mrs. Hao, Xinyan has dinner with Haoze and comes to learn of how Jaiyu’s mother had visited him at the company earlier. The landlady shows up to collect her money and after telling her that his mother isn’t home, Jiaxing engages in an argument with her.
In the meantime, Mongchun (Jiayu) hangs out with Tianming somewhere and she recalls how the hypnotherapy had gone. Blurry flashes of some memories from seven months ago burst forth and begin to take a toll on her. Tianming gives her counsel and moral support.
Jiayu states that she doesn’t want to continue with the hypnotherapy because she feels terrified to just think of the past. Tianming agrees to her wish, saying that it’s not a big deal if she doesn’t want to remember her past. A moment later, he drives Jiayu back to the coffee shop, inadvertently speeding by Dajiu on the way.
Dajiu the miserable goon curses and doesn’t notice Jiayu. He soon finds the coffee shop where Yanan sits outside, glaring at a photo of Jiayu on her phone and cursing at her. When Dajiu notices this, he snatches the phone to take a better look but isn’t able to find it. As he questions her about Li Jiayu, Yanan snatches back her phone and threatens to call the cops on him.
Dajiu decides to leave, just as Tianming arrives with Mongchun (Jiayu). In the meantime, Shen Fenfang recalls her encounter with Haoze and she decides to pay his parents a visit to clear things up. Upon arriving at the main entrance of the Haoze residence, she’s dumbfounded to find the belongings of Jiayu which had been thrown onto the streets.
Shen Fenfang is shocked to see Xinyan at the house and having figured out the implication, she confronts her. An altercation ensues, with Fenfang threatening to expose her past life to Haoze’s parents. On her way out of the house, Fenfang encounters Mr. and Mrs. Hao and she warns them that they would regret it when they learn of Xinyan’s past.
Speaking of, Xinyan begins to get worked up as she recalls Fenfang’s threats. Jiayu has an unusual nightmare and when Tianming later finds that she has a fever, he decides to take her to the hospital. Xinyan meets up with Dajiu to get Shen Fenfang’s address and she goes to see her at her house to actually “apologize” for being so rude yesterday.
She then offers her some money, amusing Fenfang who tosses it away and lashes out at her for destroying her daughter’s marriage. Xinyan makes a futile attempt to talk Fenfang out of exposing her dirty past so she begins wrestling with her and eventually push her down the stairs. Fenfang is instantly rendered unconscious.
