“A child of the night, protector of the clan. On the night the moon turns red, the child of the most powerful vampire and the Chosen She-wolf will defeat the evil of the vampire tainted with the cursed ink on the evening of the Blood Moon.”
Staring up at the Super Moon, Lia places her hand on her husband’s chest to see if his heart is still beating. Mateo tells her that his heart will never stop beating as long as she’s with him. In his car, Frederick transforms into a werewolf. The werewolves and vampires at the LLU also manifest their powers under the power of the Super Moon. In his cave, Supremo isn’t left out of the fun. Mateo holds onto his wife’s hand to see if her nails have grown longer.
When the Super Moon passes without either of them manifesting their powers, Lia and Mateo celebrate their freedom as mortals. Tonio’s father, Gabriel, lectures him on the sacrifices his own son has done for him. Betty tries going out to look for Tristan but Tonio insists on doing it himself since he knows where the boy often sneaks off to.
Malia passes out right in front of everyone and Mateo and the others begin fretting. At the LLU, Frederick recounts to the werewolves and vampires how he had seen Mateo, Lia and their daughter.
Back at the fest, Lia regains consciousness and Malia reveals that she had fainted a while ago. Lia and Mateo get all excited over it and their neighbors stare at them with expressions of confusion. Once home, Mateo goes on about having absolutely no regret about being a mere mortal.
Malia cries and laments over how her mother might end up like heart, thinking that she’s sick because she had fainted earlier. Her best friends sob with her and Nognog mentions that his father knows a doctor. Borris the mole in the LLU informs Supremo that Fredrick is now the council chief, adding that the destined savior and the most powerful vampire are gone indefinitely.
“They’re ordinary mortals now. Without any powers.”
Supremo gloats. “Our reign is finally about to begin.”
Baristo pays another impromptu visit to the Rodriguez couple, clothed with nothing and only convering up his nakedness with some corns. Lia annoyingly hands him a shirt as Mateo admonishes him for taking some of their seedlings.
Baristo apologizes and announces that they’re finally free because Frederick has been announced as the new leader. While Tonio searches for his son, he comes upon a boy who’s on the verge of being attacked by a vampire.
“Get your hands off him,” Tonio demands.
Tonio launches a stone at the undead creature as the boy faints on the spot. The vampire turns to him and Tonio pulls off a part of his walking stick, revealing it to have a sharp pointed side. He goes at the vampire but it evades him on two occasions. On the third attempt, Tonio braces himself and feigns an attack, deftly turning and simultaneously stabbing the vampire, rendering it to ashes. He then resumes the search for his son.
Tristan comes upon the fence by the Rodriguez cornfield and begins staring in amazement at the vast land. And then comes Malia who stands by the other side. Upon noticing her, Tristan strikes up a conversation with her and asks to come to the other side. Admitting that he doesn’t look like a bad guy, Malia refuses to let him in lest he steal from them.
“Stranger danger.”
“But how come?” Tristan laments. “If I do steal, I’ll just take one. I’ll give it to my aunt.”
I can’t let you because that’s still stealing.”
“Hmm?”
“So stay there. I’m not allowing you to cross this fence.”
“No fair.”
Tonio calls Erin, a high-ranking Luna officer of LLU, asking why vampires have suddenly started coming into their town when they’ve already had an agreement. Erin doesn’t give much to go on, even as Tonio asks if it has anything to do with the Super Moon. Flashback: Tonio receives an award at the LLU and Erin congratulates him.
Both men agree that the peace and stability will continue to reign under the leadership of Lia and Mateo. Jethro comes to congratulate Tonio and Rica his wife – for the award and the baby Rica is carrying. He touches Rica’s belly and suddenly, his eyes take on a snow-white color
“You saw something,” Tonio states. “What did you see?”
“Two small hands,” Jethro replies. “Holding each other. Maybe it’s a child’s hand.”
“Holding each other?” Rica says. “Who’s the other child?”
“I don’t know, but they were holding their hands under the midst of the Super Moon.”
“Does this mean danger?” Tonio asks. “What does the Super Moon signify?”
“Maybe your child’s destiny is tied to the Super Moon.”
Presently, Tonio continues the search for Tristan. Meanwhile, Tristan paces around his side and staring down at Malia who’s sitting comfortably. Malia refuses to go home while Tristan is still there so she could keep her eyes on him. She’s in disbelief once she learns that Tristan had ran away from home. Somewhere in the cornfield, Mateo and Lia go in search of their daughter and Lia teases her husband, telling him that their daughter løvës going out at night as if she were a vampire like he was.
