The Battle of the Dragons
“Løvë itself may have tainted the past, but motherhood gave me a fresh start. A test is a blessing. It molds you to be a better person. Not even the heaviest golden chains, can keep you shackled for too long. Because the løvë you receive from your family…and your own self worth, will be what sets you free.”
Romina booby-trapped the door and took cover inside. Meanwhile, Cassie watched the scene on phone. She couldn’t think of anything better to do with her god-given brain but was hellbent on going back to ‘help’ her mother against a gang of useless criminals and their seasoned leader.
While Hector and his goons broke into the house and unleashed a barrage of büllëts, Cassie called Roxanne and informed her of the situation, pleading with her to go and put a stop to her wretched father’s diabolism.
Romina laid in wait for Hector and soon blindsided him, knocking him down with a baseball bat. She proceeded to mock him about how Daniela was only using him. A goon shot at her. She managed to take him out and Hector used the distraction to disarm her and gain the upper hand. Romina eventually bested him and Hector ended up getting shot as they struggled for the güñ.
“Let’s end this now,” Romina stated.
“Just tell me where Daniela is.”
“One one condition. You have to die first.”
“After you!” Romina intercepted Hector as he tried to reach for the güñ, then sent him flying from the upper floor. Out of nowhere came Cassie with her 1st class foolishness. “Stay there,” Mina said to her. “I’ll come to you.”
While Daniela spotted Kulas and Mikoy outside her hideout, Romina reached the lower floor to find her daughter missing along with Hector. Bernard and Kristoff hurried in.
“Where’s Cassie?” Mina asked.
“She got here first,” Bernard replied. (Really? How? Weren’t you the one driving the car? Did she disappear or teleport out of the car?)
Roxanne arrived at the vicinity. Meanwhile, Hector appeared with Cassie in his custody and Romina was eventually forced to surrender. As Hector trained his güñ on her and fired, Roxanne walked in on the scene and got shot instead.
Hector made away with Cassie and his injured daughter after shooting Bernard. Daniela, with Marga, evaded Kulas and Mikoy. She called Savannah and asked for a new place to hide. Marga recorded their conversation and left her phone on one of the cars at the garage before going along with her mother. Mikoy eventually found it and showed it to Kulas.
Arriving at a police checkpoint, Daniela made Marga conceal herself. An officer asked her to step out of the vehicle. She however gunned the engine and laughed wickedly as the officers unleashed a hail of büllëts. Camp Romina watched the video Marga had made earlier. Meanwhile, Hector had tied up Cassie as Daniela was spouting some first grade ‘Mondragon’ nonsense.
“I don’t want a demon for a sister,” Cassie spat.
Danny girl got physical and Marga came to Cassie’s defense and actually scolded her despicable mother for her diabolic ways. Meanwhile, Romina got ready for a final showdown, hellbent on getting back her daughter no matter what. Concurrently, Hector overhead Daniela’s conversation with Savannah about her plan to escape with Marga. He confronted and rewarded her with a blow to the belly.
Team Romina (Romina, Kulas & Bernard) raided the hideout and found it empty. Well, except for Daniela who had been tied up. Mina confronted her about her daughter. Danny girl claimed that Hector had taken her along with Marga when he had found out about her plan to leave him. A moment later, Mina had a call from Hector, who demanded that she hand over everything she had for the safe return of the girls.
“You’re despicable,” Romina seethed. “You b*stard.”
“See you tomorrow, Romina. Bring the cash. And bring Daniela along too. I’m not done with her yet.”
A goon made a makeshift pipe and inserted it into a container. Cassie was disillusioned that Hector wanted their money in exchange for her.
“You think I’ll let you go?” Hector mocked.
“What do you mean?”
“Inside there is where you’ll die. Soon after, you’ll meet your mom in hell.” On Hector’s orders, the goons took Cassie in and sealed her inside.
Romina arrived at the warehouse and handed Daniela over to Hector. She then relinquished all her assets and asked where the girls were.
“Start looking for them,” Hector taunted. “They’re around somewhere.”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s hide and seek, but you have a time limit.”
Romina stood transfixed for a moment. After a beat, she ran off. While she ran around looking for her daughter, it was revealed that Daniela had actually connived with Hector to trick Romina into giving up all her belongings. Daniela called Savannah and informed her of her plan to take Romina’s money and elope with Marga.
Hector overhead and confronted her. Meanwhile, Marga pulled a fast one on Savannah and escaped her custody. As Hector tried to force himself on Daniela, Romina came to save her, much to Hector’s disbelief.
Hector taunted her with the keys to the container Cassie had been confined in. Romina engaged and soon bested him, finishing him off with two shots to the chest. While Cassie was having a hard time holding on in her makeshift prison, Daniela taunted and mocked Romina with the keys she had in her possession.
Arriving on the scene, Marga snatched them from her despicable mother and handed them over to Romina who ran off. The police surrounded the warehouse. Romina found Cassie unconscious. A moment later, Daniela ran into the police. SPO1 Panerio asked her to surrender as Savannah stood in handcuffs.
“Danny girl, help me,” Savvy called out.
Ignoring her mother’s instruction to hold on tight, Marga slipped out of the car. Daniela sped away. While Romina revived her daughter, Daniela was soon cornered by the police. Refusing to surrender, she started trading shots with the officers.
Romina came upon the scene. “Daniela, just surrender!”
Danny girl fumed. “Romina!” she yelled, following up with some shots. The officers returned fire and soon enough, Daniela’s car exploded.
Three months later, Romina visited Daniela, who had half of her face burnt, at the city jail. Filled with remorse, Danny girl asked her to take good care of her daughter. Mina said she’d have done it even if she hadn’t asked.
“Marga is family to me,” Romina stated. “Just like you are.”
“Please give this to my daughter,” Daniela said, handing her a handcrafted house.
“Why don’t you just give this to her yourself?”
“No, no, I can’t,” Daniela sobbed. “I don’t know how I can face her. She can’t see me like this.”
“That is not for you to decide.”
A moment later, Marga walked in with Cassie in tow and vowed to never leave her no matter what. Daniela apologized profusely. Cassie rambled on about how she had been given a second chance to change. Romina joined in on the tearful reunion. A voiceover by Romina : “Years ago, I thought the løvë I yearned for would make me whole. But I was wrong. It ended up being the trials that almost consumed me. I fought to become stronger and whole on my own, for the people who relied on me.
Romina carried a bouquet of flowers. Meanwhile, Kulas found out about Myrna’s relationship with Jessa. He turned a blind eye to it and took Carlitos in his arms. Voiceover continues : “Løvë itself may have tainted the past, but motherhood gave me a fresh start. I guess that’s how life works. Sometimes, you face tests that push you to your breaking point. But now, I see things differently. A test is a blessing. It molds you to be a better person.”
Romina congratulated Cassie and Marga on their graduation. As the Bartolomes applauded Mikoy, Bernard commended his son. Roxanne celebrated and took selfies with the Mean Squad. Neil congratulated Marga. Later, Romina went to see Robert’s resting place. Voiceover continues : “I think the beauty of life lies in facing it’s many obstacles. And rising above them, humbled by what you’ve been through.
Romina cut the ribbon for their new company. Voiceover continues : “Not even the heaviest golden chains, can keep you shackled for too long. Because the løvë you receive from your family…
Camp Romina looked on, all excited and ecstatic. Mikoy held Marga’s hand while Kristoff held Cassie’s. Both pairs smiled at each other for a while before Cassie and Marga broke away to join Romina. Mina hugged them both… “and your own self worth, will be what sets you free.”
