Carlos Is Incriminated & Rigor Covers For Him. Bianca, Jay Jay & Ben Deal With Carlos. Roman Is Finally Out Of Danger.
Roman’s tests finally come out good and after Dr. Josh tells him that he can have his surgery any moment from now, he asks for a few moments with his son. After the doctor leaves, Roman charges Gabriel to look out for Carlos no matter what happens. Gabriel promises to honor his father’s wish and Roman makes note of how proud he is of him.
In the meantime, Rigor texts Carlos about the witness in Maila’s death as well as the police lineup he would soon be put. Carlos blatantly ignores his miserable father when he asks for his help. Rigor presses on and threatens to expose Carlos if the witness identifies him as the suspect in Maila’s death.
In no time, the NBI proceed with the lineup and unfortunately, the witness isn’t able to identify anyone or point out Rigor.Dr. Josh shows up with his team to take Roman in for the surgery. Bianca and her family are in disbelief to discover how things had turned out in Maila’s case.
The witness apologizes to the Agbayanis and when he sets eyes on Carlos, he points him out as the person he had seen at the warehouse. Bianca is dumbfounded. After being detained at the NBI, Carlos calls Simeon on phone and charges him to send his attorney over. Gabriel gets in his face and has an exchange of words with him before Bianca pounces on him.
In spite of the witness’ insistence that he had seen him at the warehouse, Carlos continues to play dumb and stupid. He’s taken inside to be interrogated in the company of his lawyer and he continues to deny his involvement in Maila’s kidñappiñg. Rigor begins to make a scene outside, declaring Carlos innocent and taking the entire blame.
A moment later, he’s also taken into the interrogation room where he makes deliberate efforts to defend his miserable son with his statements, all the while rubbishing the witness’ testimony. The head officer updates the Agbayanis on the turn of events and they’re left in disbelief as they believe that Carlos isn’t as innocent as he’s been made. Gabriel shares in their conviction.
Having no shame, Carlos comes over and tries to talk to Bianca and make her believe that he’s innocent and no criminal. Jay Jay gets in his face and that leads to an altercation. Carlos shamelessly wrestles with the little boy and after the fight is broken up, Ben angrily rewards him with a punch that makes him steady.
Carlos pays his miserable father a visit following the humiliation he had suffered at the NBI office. In his own way, he expresses his appreciation for how he had saved him earlier. He gets pretty emotional and laments over his situation and Rigor strives to get through to him.
Roman’s operation goes on smoothly and Gabriel comes to check up on him. He gives him some updates on how things are at the office. Dr. Josh comes bearing good news; he announces that Roman’s brain tumor is benign and no longer life-threatening. Gabriel is pretty delighted.
But then once Josh excuses them, he proceeds to inform Roman of his decision to move out of the mansion with his wife because of Carlos. While Olsen, Chuchay and the others settle down in their new house, Carlos resolves to play nice with Gabriel, all the while secretly plotting to ruin him and discredit him to Roman.
