“Daniela, what is this? What have you done? If this is our child… I don’t understand. What on earth have you done?! Why are you saying that’s our child?! And Carlitos? Who is he? Where did he come from? You were toying with us like idïøts. You lied to all of us.”
On account of Romina’s persistence, Carlos asked the attendant for Daniela’s files so he could confirm something about his son. After checking her computer, the woman told Carlos that they had no records of Daniela. Meanwhile, Daniela confronted psycho Eva for going after her daughter.
As she ranted and charged her to stick to the plan against Romina, Marga walked in and soon stormed off, upset that her dearest mommy knew the madwoman who had tried to hurt her.While Romina wondered what exactly Daniela was hiding from Carlos, Danny girl and Marga were arguing about psycho Eva back home.
Daniela told Marga about her plan to use Eva against Romina. Carlos soon stormed in and demanded to know the truth about their son. As usual, Danny girl covered up the truth with her expert lies. Romina told Cassie and Neil about her recent discovery. She called the unknown number that had texted her before. The person picked up but remained silent as she asked about Carlos’ son.
Certain that it was Hector, Mina vowed to find him. Nanny Esther told Romina about Daniela’s story of being delivered by a midwife who had conveniently left the country. Mina then mentioned having seen her at a vacant lot crying and holding a little doll. Daniela walked in on a man fencing off the place she had buried her stillborn baby. She confronted him and the guy told her that someone had bought the land.
“If you have a problem with it, just take it up with the lot’s new owner.”
“Who?” Danny girl asked.
“Her name’s Romina Mondragon.”
Cassie was determined to participate in the talent test despite her injury, and Romina promised to support her. She soon went out as Daniela came barking, confronting her about the plot of land she had bought. Mina taunted her, asking why she was so interested in that lot. Danny girl played dumb and ranted as Mina made mockery of her.
Daniela asked for help from Savannah to buy the land so she could keep visiting her baby. Savvy didn’t want any trouble from her husband whom no one had ever seen before. She suggested that she go for the foetus and bury it somewhere else. Meanwhile, Romina called Carlos and told him that he needed to know the truth. Carlos asked her to leave them alone.
“Why? Are you scared?” Romina taunted. “I’ll text you a specific address, so meet me there.”
Later that night, Daniela sneaked into the vacant lot, recovered her baby’s remains and placed it into a little box. She turned to find Carlos and Romina, who asked her what was inside the box. When she remained silent, Carlos snatched the box from her and checked it out.
“Daniela, what is this?” Carlos asked. “What have you done? Is this a foetus?”
“I need to call the police,” Romina cut in.
Daniela pleaded with her not to. “Carlos,” she sobbed. “It’s our child.”
“What? If this is our child…I don’t understand. What are you talking about? What on earth have you done?! Why are you saying that’s our child?!”
“I had a miscarriage,” Danny girl admitted. “I had no choice. I had to keep it from you.”
“And Carlitos?” Carlos asked in disbelief. “Who is he? Where did he come from?”
Psycho Eva used dubious means to find her ‘daughter’s’ address. Meanwhile, Daniela was still going on with her half-truths, claiming that she had adopted Carlitos. Carlos was pretty upset. Cassie noticed some disturbance outside and went to check it out. She had a run-in with the madwoman who told her that Marga and Daniela knew where she was staying.
“You’re conspiring with them?” Cassie asked in disbelief.
“You’re too pretty to get mad,” Eva mused.
Hyperventilating, Cassie chased the madwoman away with her shouts for help. Carlos went berserk on his arrival home, revealing that Carlitos wasn’t his son. Myrna asked where his baby with Daniela was, and Carlos announced that their real baby was dead. “Daniela adopted Carlitos to cover up what happened!”
Cassie told her mother about the incident earlier and how Daniela was working with Eva. Meanwhile, Marga confronted her mother about Carlitos not being her little brother. The stillborn baby had been given a proper burial and as the Bartolomes mourned, Kulas asked Daniela if she had any other dark secrets to share. Danny girl claimed she didn’t, then went ahead with a ‘sob’ speech Marga wasn’t impressed with. Carlos was even more upset to learn of how Daniela had faked her pregnancy and fooled them all.
“You were toying with us like idïøts. You lied to all of us.”
Carlos packed up his stuff to move out of the house. Marga understood his position and didn’t throw a fit this time. Daniela pleaded with Carlos not to leave her all to no avail. Meanwhile, Camp Romina gave Cassie their full support as she made ready for the talent test. She was glad to finish the piece without any help or guide.
Daniela went to the Bartolomes and tried to emotionally blackmail Kulas to her side, claiming that Jessa and his son’s case was going nowhere because Romina was hindering the investigation with her money. “We will avenge your grandchild and your baby.”
