Rigor Is Blackmailed. Carlos Successfully Sabotages Gabriel. Gabriel Strives To Do Damage Control & Recover From The Chaos.
Emilio calls Rigor to taunt him with the ongoing investigation into Victoria’s death, all the while threatening to rat him out. After a few exchange of words, he blackmails Rigor to get him some money from his son. Speaking of, as soon as Carlos arrives home, Isabel confronts him about his whereabouts and he covers up his shameless actions with blatant lies.
A moment later, Carlos receives a phone call from his miserable father telling him of Emilio’s demand for 50,000 pesos lest he rat them out to Roman. Carlos is reluctant to give out such amount of money and Rigor urges him to do so before Roman finds a way to send him back to prison.
Steph happens to overhear bits and pieces. Olsen talks to his companions at home about Carlos’ recent misadventures, just as Marilyn also does same with Grandpa Ben and expresses her disapproval for the unending troubles he’s been causing.
Lydia thanks Gabriel and Bianca for covering for Carlos for the sake of his baby with Isabel. She hopes her wretched grandson would soon change and warm up to her but Gabriel doesn’t believe so. True to the fact, Carlos tries to come up with a way to discredit Gabriel and ruin his relationship with Roman.
The next morning, Steph talks to Jay Jay about what she had heard Carlos saying on phone before regarding the 50,000 pesos. Jay Jay is inclined to believe that he had been talking to Rigor. Carlos pays up some guy to have Laban infested with animals so the brand would be shut down.
In no time, rats begin to run rampant in the production area of Laban and due to this, Gabriel is notified that production would be halted for at least a month. Carlos ups his game by sabotaging Vega Pacifico airline at the detriment of it’s reputation and the customers’ ire.
Roman receives a phone call from Carlos who proceeds to put the final nail in the coffin by notifying him of the trouble at the company. And if course he blames Gabriel. Gabriel strives to deal with the situation, even as he takes full responsibility for it. Grandma Lydia sees Isabel heading out and she gets chewed out when she tries to show concern for her yet again.
At DV Group, Roman has a meeting with some partners of Vega Pacifico who express their misgivings and call for the leadership position to be stripped from Gabriel. Roman defends his son and as the major stockholder of the company, he declares that Gabriel will stay.
Once the meeting is over, he proceeds to confront said son and lash out at him. Gabriel takes full responsibility and promises to fix the situation. Isabel comes to see her miserable husband at the office and he gloats over the trouble he had caused for Gabriel.
Jay Jay informs his sister about what Steph had told him before regarding Carlos’ phone call the other night and Grandpa Ben insinuates that the money that had been mentioned might have something to do with her mother’s death.
Gabriel investigates the Vega Pacifico double booking fiasco and when he discovers the suspicious actions of Carlos’ accomplice, he decides to have the guy investigated. A moment later, Bianca comes to see him at the office to check up on him.
She then tells him about what she had learned from her brother earlier. Gabriel says he would deal with it after solving the company’s problems. The culprit responsible for the double bookings is caught and interrogated but refuses to talk.
It doesn’t take long for Gabriel to find proof of Laban’s sabotage and he manages to get the brand reopened for recovery. In addition, he regains the trust of the board members and investors. Ultimately, Gabriel wins the award of the Most Successful Gentleman of the year, much to Carlos’ shock and disbelief.
