“Does Robert know about this, Daniela? That you’re working with the person who tried to k!ll him? Did you think I wouldn’t find out that you’re using Robert to steal from me? Have you decided to sell your soul to the devil? I hope you got a good deal, Daniela.”
The police updated Romina on the search for Alvin as well as Hector’s connection. Having had no solid leads, Romina decided to act before the brothers got away with their plans of ruining her. A moment later, she stormed Hector’s place and made it her sole mission to provoke him. “You are a coward. You only make a move when people least expect you to.”
Hector raised a hand to strike. “Go ahead. Hit me. You think I don’t know that you’re behind the bømbing at the hotel? Your stüpïd brother wouldn’t do that if you didn’t tell him to.”
Enter Roxanne, who came over to spout some crap I didn’t pay attention to. Romina ran into Leon on her way out and told him about how she had confronted his ‘angelic’ cousin.
“You shouldn’t act so recklessly,” Leon cautioned. “That’s dangerous.”
“I can’t be scared anymore. If I don’t fight, our lives will remain in danger.”
Alvin mentioned his fear of Daniela betraying them once she got the chance. However, Hector still wanted to have some fun with her, though he swore to finish her off before she even thought of betraying them. Daniela called Bernard and asked for financial assistance, claiming that Marga had had a serious medical emergency. Bernard agreed but decided to ask for Robert’s permission first. A moment later, Danny girl had a phone call from Hector, demanding her presence for a transaction they had.
Romina went to the mansion, appalled to learn that Daniela was planning to sell all their stuff. Nanny Esther offered to have a talk with her, but Mina said there was no need. “We’re leaving soon and we can’t bring these things with us. She can have them if she wants. After all, she does like to get my hand-me-downs.” Mina then spotted Marga sneaking out.
Marga went to the Bartolomes to try to convince Mikoy to go out with her. Kulas almost caught them together. Meanwhile, Romina questioned her attorney about the huge some of money that had been withdrawn from her bank account. The lawyer said it was probably Robert withdrawing what he might need since the account was also under his name.
“Is there a way to write him off our joint bank account?”
“Not yet. Until the court issues a final verdict on his case, he’s still got privileges.”
At Maxwell, Marga was glad to have her parents over for the school’s family day. Meanwhile, Romina asked Bernard about the huge sum of money that had been withdrawn from the joint account with Robert. Bernard said Robert had given Daniela that amount to pay for Marga’s hospital bills.
“Are you sure?” Romina asked. “Because Marga looks perfectly fine to me.”
Romina and Cassie took the stage and gave a breathtaking performance. There was an interlude where Cassie thanked her mom for always being there for her and for all the sacrifices she had made for her. “And for all the løvë you give me. No matter what happens, I will never leave your side. Even if the world goes against us, I’ll be right by you.”
“I løvë you so much.”
“I løvë you, mamma.”
The Mondragons received a warm reception as they hugged and continued with their performance. Marga and her family were called up next. Her parents awol, Marga went in search of them, only to find them fighting. Marga threw a fit. “Why’d you even come if you were just going to fight again?” she wailed before storming off.
Romina overheard Hector talking to Daniela on phone. She followed him to the parking lot. A moment later, Daniela met up with Hector who asked her to get ready for a delivery their client needed. Romina spied as Danny girl tried talking him into not dealing with the clients in person, but Hector said it would cost her a million bucks. Daniela then went on about her intention of selling the mansion.
“Are you serious? You fought so hard to get the mansion back.”
“It holds too many bad memories now. The mansion already belongs to Romina. So I sell the house before she forces us out, and she’ll be left with nothing.”
Romina stalked over. “Is that so, Daniela? You have no right to the mansion. But sorry for butting in; I must have lost my invitation to this reunion.”
“Can’t you leave us alone, Romina?” Hector grumbled.
“No, I won’t,” Mina shot. “When did you start taking Hector’s side again? Does Robert know about this, Daniela? That you’re working with the person who tried to k!ll him?”
“We were just talking,” Danny girl barked. “Paranoid much?”
“I heard you say that you’re planning to sell the mansion. I only let you stay there for the sake of your kids. But you want to sell it without telling me? You haven’t even thanked me for my kindness despite how you’ve treated me.”
“Your kindness?”
“Yes. And I’m not done yet. Did you think I wouldn’t find out that you’re using Robert to steal from me? How many more withdrawals will you make?”
Cassie overhead Marga’s rantings over her family. Mikoy wasn’t glad to know that she was using him to provoke her parents. Marga suggested that they run away together. Back at the parking lot, Romina and Daniela were still going at it as Hector served as a spectator. “Have you decided to sell your soul to the devil?” Mina taunted. “I hope you got a good deal, Daniela.”
Romina caught Daniela’s hand as she made an attempt to slap her. “I’ll make sure to tell everyone about this. Especially the cops and your husband. Let’s see where you’ll end up this time.”
Daniela went at Romina as she walked away. Hector got between them and shoved Mina away. He was in the process of pulling out his güñ in broad daylight when the place started filling up. Carlos asked what was going on, and Romina told him to ask his wife why she was planning something with Hector. Danny girl flat out denied it. Mina chuckled as Bernard guided her away. Hector eyed Carlos as Roxanne urged him to leave with her.
“What are you looking at?” Carlos spat.
Hector smiled and walked off. Marga was still trying to convince Mikoy to elope with her when he spotted Cassie nearby. Bratty daughter started throwing a tantrum I wasn’t interested in listening to. Meanwhile, Daniela rebuffed Romina’s claims earlier. Carlos asked why she had been with Hector, and Danny girl claimed that she had just bumped into him when Mina chanced upon them and assumed the worst. The Mondragons arrived home, with Romina seething. Neil asked if she was going to sue Daniela and Hector. Mina said her word alone wouldn’t be enough to incriminate them.
“So what do you plan to do now?”
“I’ve had it with Daniela. I kept giving her chances because I was worried about her children. But this is really the last straw.”
