Janine Ruins Doris’ Birthday Party. Yvonne Decides To Fight For Victor. After Another Conflict With Yvonne, Janine Cooks Up A Cunning Scheme To Get Back Her Husband.
The episode begins with Yvonne waking up from bed the following morning and staring down at sleeping Victor while reflecting on what had happened between them last night. Later at the insurance company, Albert gives a speech to encourage his team to put in all their best for the New Year. Marlon treats Victor with indifference when he asks of the whereabouts of his wife and son.
He blabbers about how he had hurt his sister and he ignores Victor when he asks for details of what had happened. Victor hangs out in his workshop and happily reflects on his reunion with his “wife”. As he writes in his memory book, out of nowhere, Janine shows up for an impromptu visit and hands him one of the paintings he had made with Audrey before.
Mimi is appalled to learn of how Yvonne had slept with her ex-husband and she excitedly presses her for details. Yvonne is ashamed of the incident and Mimi points out that its payback or karma for what Janine did to her before.While Janine wraps up her conversation with Victor and parts ways with him, Mimi let’s slip the fact that Marlon is now her boyfriend, taking Yvonne by surprise.
Gary plans to surprise his wife with a grand birthday party and he swears his mother and mother-in-law to secrecy. Daria is excited with the thought of having a big party and she talks her son into letting her bring her boyfriend along. Upon Janine’s return home, she assures her daughter that her “father” would be coming home soon and their family would be complete.
Dale calls the private investigator on phone to ask him about Janine’s house address so he could go and see her. Reuben claims that Janine had already moved out of the house and Dale blows a fuse. Mimi brings a lot of food she had cooked to Marlon and his mother at home and she later reaches out to Shakira to reconcile with him.
Gary begins preparations for his wife’s birthday party and Daria resolves to invite the daughter of a friend who turns out to be Phoebe – friend of Janine.Phoebe decides to take Janine along to Doris’ birthday party and she ignorantly agrees to go. Ultimately, the party soon takes place and Yvonne graces the occasion with her family.
Daria’s guests also arrive and imagine the surprise and awkwardness when everyone sets eyes on Janine. Phoebe is ignorant with bliss as to what the real deal really is. The once-lively birthday seems to have turned into some kind of state mourning and Janine wearily observes how Victor and Yvonne’s relationship seem to have changed.
Later at home, she tells her best friend about her worries and vows to make sure that whatever Yvonne is hiding won’t be a hindrance to her getting her husband back. So Phoebe brings Janine to meet her aunt Ruth and Daria at someplace to discuss about some business investments.
Daria considers traveling to Hong Kong or Singapore with her boyfriend and Phoebe excitedly urges her to pick Singapore so they could all go together and meet Janine’s husband. Daria subtly makes mockery of Janine on that account.Victor blabbers sweet nothings to Yvonne and goes on and on about how he would never look at any other woman because she’s the one he løvës.
After Phoebe leaves with Ruth, Daria mocks Janine directly this time for the lie she had told about her husband working in Singapore. Janine explains matters and when Daria tries to blackmail her with her secret, she also returns the favor. Yvonne and Janine both have dinner with their families at their homes and spend some quality time together.
Later that night while Victor paints with his son upstairs, Yvonne receives a sudden visit from Janine who requests to talk to her husband. When she refuses to let her see him, a battle of words ensue until the point where Victor shows his misëräble face.
A moment later, he talks to Janine about their business project and she asks to borrow some of his paintings and samples. Victor decides to take Marlon along to help with the delivery. Audrey is delighted to see her “father”. It turns out that Janine plans to make new memories with Victor and make him løvë her again no matter what.
