“Do you think I have no idea that you’re stabbing me in the back? You poisoned the minds of our employees. And even used the media. But let’s see whose life will end up ruined. Starting from today, I promise you; your life won’t be easy. Get out!”
Marga and Mikoy ran into Carlos, who announced that he would be picking Marga up from school from now on. He asked Mikoy to go home and Marga threw a fit, saying that he was too late to act like the father. Meanwhile, Kristoff apologized to Cassie for the incident at the prison earlier. Cassie was however grateful to him for helping her see her dad. She then brought up her mother’s decision to leave the country. Neil treated his sister at her office. Romina thanked him, reminiscing about their simple, happy life in the past. “But now, even with our more comfortable life, I’m still trying to find my way in the dark.”
Cassie was hoping that things would be fine with her parents from time to come. “Is it really that selfish to wish for that even after knowing what daddy did to mamma?”
“You’re not being selfish. And you’ll never be,” Kristoff said, taking Cassie’s hand. “You’re just being a daughter.”
Neil asked Romina if she was really ready to leave. Mina said she had to do whatever was right for her daughter since she always found herself in danger. After reluctantly accepting Maureen’s birthday party invitation, Marga soon argued with her mother over it, bringing up the Mondragons’ plans to leave the country. Daniela told her to find out when they would be leaving and make sure they didn’t change their minds. At the city jail, Robert recalled his confrontations with Romina and Hector. Waldo counseled him to keep asking for his family’s forgiveness by any means possible.
Marga found Cassie sitting by herself. Recalling her mother’s words, and with her fake concern, she tried convincing Cassie to leave with her mom. Meanwhile, Hector called his brother, asking him to do ‘something’ to Romina.Alvin wanted to get back at Daniela since she was the one who had screwed them over, and Hector said he’d deal with her himself once he got out.
Savannah informed Daniela of her husband’s agreement to invest in Camila since Romina was leaving. Danny girl was happy about Romina’s resignation, and as Savvy congratulated Daniela on how she had ruined Romina to the media, the board and Robert’s supporters, Leon overheard. Robert was excited to have his daughter and granddaughter visit him. He was however downcast when Cassie informed him of their upcoming move abroad. “And I don’t know when we’ll see each other again.”
Romina was surprised to see Leon at her office, asking what he was doing there. “I wanted to check up on you,” Leon said. “But I’m afraid the news I’m going to tell you will make you upset.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“I saw Daniela earlier. There’s something important you need to know.”
A moment later in the conference room, Romina announced that she was taking a temporary leave, adding that Leon would manage the company and report directly to her in her absence. Daniela objected to it, daring her to ruin her own reputation by having her dragged out.
“Do you think I have no idea that you’re stabbing me in the back?” Romina taunted. “You poisoned the minds of our employees. And even used the media.”
“Why the hell will I do that? You’re more than capable of destroying yourself.”
“You know you can never last long against me. But let’s see whose life will end up ruined.” Romina grabbed Danny girl. “You have no business here, so get out. Get out. Do you really care about your father, or are you just greedy? Starting from today, I promise you; your life won’t be easy. Get out!”
After kicking Daniela out, Romina proceeded with the meeting. She later thanked Leon for the heads-up as someone spied outside the office. Meanwhile, Daniela was ranting over the sweet humiliation she had suffered earlier. Alvin tailed Romina to her hotel suite. He went into hiding as Cassie arrived and went in.
As Romina scolded her daughter for going back to the prison, Alvin stole a cleaner’s key card and made away with it. Robert asked a guard for some five minutes to talk to his family, but he was turned down since it was past the time. Meanwhile, masked Alvin broke into the Mondragons’ suite. Finding Cassie asleep in her room, he sneaked into Romina’s, who was also sound asleep. The miserable swine took photos as well as one of her dresses.
Atty. Del Mariano passed on to Hector a package from Alvin (Romina’s dress and photos). Meanwhile, Cassie’s screams startled Romina awake, who hurried out to find their living room trashed. Written on a door were the words, ‘You Will Pay For This’. Hector dumped the package onto Robert, mocking and threatening to blow up his family like he had done to him before. Robert fumed, unable to get his hands on him since they weren’t in the same cell anymore.
Romina was certain that Alvin was the one who had broken into their place last night. Meanwhile, Daniela was glad with Robert’s decision to let Romina and Cassie leave the country for their safety.Romina confronted Hector at his hearing. After Atty. Del Mariano trashed her statement, the judge adjourned the trial for next month. On the attorney’s request, the judge granted Hector bail. Romina fumed.
Once home, she made known her intention of booking a flight tomorrow. Cassie was surprised, even as she requested that she go see her dad for some closure before they left. At the city jail, Romina had a talk with Robert, who charged her not to come back until their safety was guaranteed. Romina asked if he had any idea of what had happened last night and Robert told her that Hector was behind it.
“I’m ready to face the charges against me,” Robert said. “So I hope you also find the peace and happiness you deserve.”
“Goodbye, Robert.”
Hector mocked Robert, threatening his family. Having had enough, Robert engaged him until the guards came to drag him away. Marga had gotten herself drunk silly at Maureen’s party. Unable to get her under control, Maureen called up Mikoy and asked him to come pick her up.
A moment later, Mikoy arrived at the now-empty bar. He shook Marga awake and tried talking her into going home. Marga threw a fit, rambling on about how her parents were being selfish by keeping them apart. Waldo passed Robert a phone. As the other inmates kept watch, Robert placed a call to Bernard. “It’s me, Robert. Listen closely. I need you to do something for me.”
