“You want the truth? Hmmm. I just missed you. Romina, you’re right. We’re all in our own hell. But you have no idea how worse your hell is. Be careful who you trust.”
Kulas had a nightmare about Jessa. Meanwhile, Daniela and her lapdog came to see Alvin at an abandoned building where he had been gagged and chained on the floor like an animal. Danny girl had a call from her husband, asking that she make time for their family.
Daniela only spouted some crap I didn’t bother listening. Leon brought Roxanne to visit her father in jail. Hector threw a fit for betraying him and eventually reconciled with her. Leon told him that he and Paco would take care of her, which didn’t sit well with Hector.
Leon said he wasn’t like him and wouldn’t put his niece in danger like what he had done to his son.
Daniela brought Alvin some food, telling him to stop with his futile attempts to escape. Alvin shoved the food away. Meanwhile, Hector forced his lawyer to call Alvin so he could know of how he had gotten away and where he was hiding.
Alvin tried to break free of his chains as Daniela was preoccupied with her phone. A phone call came in from the attorney. Alvin struggled to reach for his phone which was on vibration in his pocket. It clattered to the floor, drawing Daniela’s attention. Alvin hid the phone but then another call from the attorney gave it away.
“You b*stard,” Danny girl hissed.
The attorney told Hector that his brother wasn’t answering his calls. He then mentioned that he was going to be staying in jail for a while since his cases kept piling up. Hector then asked him to call Romina up so he could give her some crucial info about her räpë case. Robert finally noticed his daughter’s school uniform and asked what had happened.
Cassie narrated how Daniela had taken everything from them after he had gone missing. Robert apologized. Romina told the family about Hector wanting to meet with her. A moment later, Neil and Bonita discussed the matter and Daniela overheard. She asked Nanny Esther who gave confirmation.
The Herreras were planning on moving out to somewhere else. Roxanne asked about her father and Leon assured her that they would be visiting him from time to time. Paco cheered a downcast Roxy with a teddy bear. Alvin managed to break free of his chains, but at the cost of a hand. Meanwhile, the attorney had a phone call from Alvin and Hector snatched it from him and hid it. Hector put on a comical show to get to the washroom.
Daniela was the one on the other line and she tried blackmailing him into not telling Romina the truth. Hector called his bluff and asked for proof. Danny girl went inside to find that Alvin had escaped. Romina arrived at the precinct to talk with Hector. Meanwhile, Daniela went in search of Alvin. She eventually found him and mocked Hector with proof.
“You’re a b*tch, Daniela,” Hector spat.
“So, do you want me to take Alvin to the police? Or will you keep your mouth shut?”
Romina asked Hector the information he wanted to tell her about her räpë case. Hector claimed that they had just chosen her randomly to milk her for some cash. Mina wouldn’t be fooled though. “What are you and Daniela hiding from me? What do you know about what happened to me?”
“I’m not hiding…”
“Tell me right now.”
“… that’s it.”
“Tell me the truth, Hector.”
“You want the truth? Hmmm. I just missed you.”
Romina stared in disgust. “You b*stard. You deserve to be in here. As long as I’m alive, I’ll make sure you rot in jail.”
“Romina, you’re right,” Hector said as Mina started heading out. “We’re all in our own hell. But you have no idea how worse your hell is. Be careful who you trust.”
Romina ran into Daniela on her way out of the station and began trading words with her in no time. Mina tried bluffing with the truth Hector had supposedly told her.
“I’m not that stüpïd, Romina,” Danny girl said.
Romina laughed. “Watch how you use that word, Daniela. Because from how you’re acting now, you define the word stüpïd.”
Their war of words dragged on where Danny girl claimed that she hadn’t done anything wrong. Romina vowed not to stop until she got the justice she deserved.
At Maxwell, Robert watched as his daughter chatted away excitedly with her friends. “I know what I did was despicable. That’s why I want to make it up to you. Before I speak about what really happened, I just hope you can forgive me.”
Daniela confronted Hector about his talk with Romina, taunting him with his brother whom she still had in her custody. She then went on about how she had waited for the perfect opportunity to strike back at him for orchestrating her downfall.
“I did all that to make you mine,” Hector said. “Because I’m still in løvë with you.”
“I can’t believe you really thought I’d fall for someone like you. Blame it on your stüpïd løvë for me, because that’s exactly what brought you to where you are now.”
Robert visited Hector and asked why he had dragged his daughter’s name into the attempt on his life. Hector insinuated that she had a lot to gain. A flashback showed how Daniela had asked Hector to do something to stop Robert from telling Romina the truth. Robert refused to believe him though.
Hector laughed. “It’s funny. Your entire family’s a joke. I can’t help but laugh. You don’t know how twisted your daughter is.”
The misëräble one-eyed-old man barged into the mansion to confront Romina about his mistress’ whereabouts. Carlos arrived just then and Mina demanded that he get out with his insufferable old man. Kulas grabbed Mina. “You haven’t answered my question. Where’s Jessa?”
Romina gave the misëräble one-eyed-old man a look and twisted his wrist. “Don’t touch me.”
Robert arrived home with the girls just then. “What’s going on here? Is there a problem?”
Kulas started throwing a fit, insisting that the Mondragons were hiding Jessa.
“Carlos, take your dad home. Before I get mad,” Robert said, pointing a finger at the misëräble swine. “I won’t allow you to disrespect my family.”
“Robert, I just…”
“Leave! Leave!”
“I wasn’t…”
“Get out!”
Robert asked Romina about Kulas’ rantings earlier. Mina went on about how it wasn’t right that they were accusing her of having a hand in Jessa’s disappearance.
“Good grief,” Robert mumbled. “Yet another problem.”
“As long as Daniela’s here, they’ll keep coming back. If only I went through with my case against Carlos.”
“Case? What case?”
“Nothing. It’s over now.”
“Romina, what happened?” Robert pressed. “Tell me.”
“Robert…he tried to räpë me. But he wasn’t able to.”
