“Someone sent me a letter. They want me to ask you about a cufflink. Jude and Alvin mentioned this before. What is it about the cufflink, Robert? I don’t understand. Some evidence points to you as the one who räpëd me. And now this. What’s with the cufflink?”
Robert scolded Daniela over her recklessness in running Camila as well as the people she hanged with. Leon came over with Romina and he gave him a piece of his mind before the secretary came to remind him of the meeting he had to attend. Some goons encircled Robert at the parking lot. As Alvin watched discreetly, they asked him to come with them. They took hold of him but suddenly, Robert disarmed one of them and kicked their misëräble assess in grand style. Alvin looked on as two of the scumbags fled while Robert advanced on the last.
“Who’s your boss?” Robert demanded.
“A demon!” the goon spat. “He’s waiting for you in hell.”
“A demon? Huh?” Robert began kicking the poor scumbag. “You sure about that?” A brutal flurry of kicking and stomping followed. “Tell me!”
Romina came upon the scene and kept him from beating the scumbag to death. The goon scurried away and Robert picked up the cellphone he had dropped as Romina looked on in disbelief. The chief of police announced that the güñ Robert had surrendered was unregistered, adding that they had had the phone unlocked. He showed Robert the message the suspect had received from someone. Romina was certain that Alvin was the sender. Robert turned down the police offer of protection.
“What happened back there?” Romina asked after the officers had left. “You almost k!lled that guy. Robert, what’s happening? You’ve become violent.”
Robert gave Romina a pointed look and walked out on her. Hector was upset that his brother had blown their only chance to get Robert. Alvin told him that Robert was a loose cannon and knew how to fight, adding that he wasn’t as sick as Daniela had claimed.
“If that’s the case, then we need to make our move. If we blew him out of the sky once, then the next one’s gonna stick.”
At the mansion, Romina was tending to Robert when Daniela came over and started ranting nonstop. Romina revealed the incident earlier, certain that Alvin was behind it and an argument began. Robert shut them up and scolded them. Daniela met up with Hector and confronted him for trying to have her dad kidñäpped. Hector played dumb and threatened to reveal her secrets if she ratted him out.
Danny girl returned the favor. Bratty daughter painted herself and her despicable mother as the saints of the century, all the while badmouthing Romina and Cassie to her grandpa. Cassie looked on in disbelief.Hector recounted his encounter with Daniela earlier to his brother, determined to take her down if she went against him. Nevertheless, he still wanted her for himself. Meanwhile, Daniela discussed with Savannah a foolproof plan to get rid of Hector and keep her hands clean.
Cassie confronted Marga and told her not to start anything if she couldn’t finish it. Meanwhile, Robert asked Daniela about the things her bratty daughter had told him about Leon and Danny girl reaffirmed it. He then questioned her about her relationship with Hector and Daniela claimed that she didn’t see him anymore. But of course Robert didn’t buy what she was selling.
Robert thanked Bernard for all his help. Standing in his stead, he offered to buy Leon’s shares in the company for more than a reasonable price. Leon said he’d only sell his shares to Romina since they were the reason Camila was still in operation. Robert glared at Leon. Oh, God. If looks could k!ll. Robert met up with Leon and rambled on about how he had gotten involved with his family and his company just when he had gone missing. “Whatever your plans or intentions are, forget about them. Because I won’t let them happen as long as I’m here. So you better get out of my company.”
Neil commissioned Robert’s ‘welcome back’ party. Robert gave a speech and thanked the employees for staying behind in spite of the company’s struggles before. He then made a toast to Camila’s future and soon noticed Romina’s absence. A moment later, he found a portrait of Romina and Leon in Mina’s office, wondering why she had given up on them. Romina arrived at the party grounds and Neil told her of how Robert had been looking for her. Mina went in search of him. She found the portrait of herself and Leon abandoned on her desk and soon found Robert on the roof of the building.
“Robert…I guess you know of what I had with Leon.”
“You have no idea of the things I went through, but I didn’t give up because I thought you were waiting for me. You have no idea how happy I was to be back here because I was in your arms again. But I was wrong to assume all that, because I have no home to return to.”
“I’m sorry,” Romina sobbed. “It’s all my fault. I was so lonely. I was fighting with Daniela for Cassie and myself. Leon was the one who helped protect us. Robert, you were gone for over a year. I thought you were dead. There wasn’t a day I didn’t cry or pray for you. But now that you’re back, my heart is whole again. Please give me another chance to løvë you like before. Please forgive me.”
“I løvë you so much Romina,” Robert sobbed. “I can’t afford to lose you.” Their reconciliation was then sealed with a hug. Daniela made fun of Romina’s cooking, and Mina returned the favor. Meanwhile, Robert flashed back to his recent discoveries, determined to find out who had tried to k!ll him and save his family from the Mangubat brothers’ schemes. Daniela planned on ratting out the Mangubat brothers so she could get on her father’s good side and win his favor over Romina. Savannah reminded her that Hector knew a lot of her secrets.
“I don’t care,” Danny girl said. “Who’s going to believe him, anyway? He’s not the only one who can twist the truth. Daniela Mondragon is the master of that.”
At Maxwell, the teacher announced the class’s next project where the students would be working with a partner and present a report on merging one business with another. She then gave them five minutes to look for their partners. Marga was glad to have Mikoy as her partner. Cassie however turned down Kristoff’s offer to be partners. And wouldn’t you just know it? She asked Roxanne to partner with her. Roxy was dumbfounded as Kristoff looked on in dismay. Neil brought her sister some files and mails. Romina went through them and found a particular mail that stood out. She ripped it open and discovered a note that implicated Robert in her räpë case. Mina was speechless.
“Is something wrong?” Neil asked. “What does it say?”
Robert came in just then and Romina asked her brother to give them some privacy.
“What’s going on?” Robert asked.
“Someone sent me a letter,” Mina replied.
“About what?”
“They want me to ask you about a cufflink. Jude and Alvin mentioned this before. What is it about the cufflink, Robert? I don’t understand.”
Robert was spellbound for a moment. “What do you want to know exactly?”
“What if…”
“What if what?”
Daniela walked into the office just then. “Some evidence points to you as the one who räpëd me. And now this. What’s with the cufflink?”
“Romina…”
Daniela interrupted her father. Romina showed her the note and yet she still went on to spout a bunch of nonsense after sending her dad out of the office. A battle of words ensued. “I won’t stop until I get the justice I deserve,” Romina hissed.
Danny girl made a comically exaggerated body gesture and carried on. At the Mangubat residence, Cassie drilled Roxanne for info about her dad. Hector arrived home with dinner, surprised to see Cassie there. Roxy explained that they were partners in a school project. Hector then sent off his daughter to ready the food. He looked amused as he took the seat near Cassie’s.
“Tell me. Do you really have a project to do, or did you just make this up?”
Cassie eyed Hector. “We do have a school project. You can even ask our teacher if you want to.”
“You and your mom won’t get anything from me. You can’t blame me for your problems. And I won’t let my daughter be involved.”
“There’s no need for her to be involved. Since you aren’t doing anything wrong, right? But then, if I find out who you are, will you threaten my life like what you did to my father?”
Hector was pretty upset. “You’re just like your mother.”
Cassie stared, unfazed. “It was just a question. If something bad happens to me, Al lot of people know where I’ve been today.”
