Janine Fights Yvonne Over Her Right To Her Husband. Victor Suffers A Mental Breakdown That Triggers Another Altercation Between Yvonne & Janine.
Sonia interrupts the nurse as she tries to tell Victor the details of his condition. In the meantime, Dale hires the services of a private investigator to find Janine for him. Speaking of, Audrey pesters her mother with unending requests to see her father again and Janine makes it clear to her that she won’t be able to see him anytime soon.
Yvonne takes care of Marcus and Victor, all the while playing the role of the løviñg, doting wife. Victor is taken out for some exercise with his son and “wife” and as he attempts to get out of the wheelchair, he ends up stumbling. Yvonne quickly tries to steady him and keep him from falling and Victor gladly hugs her.
Janine comes upon the scene and looks like she’s about to break. She quickly breaks up the embrace and desperately tries in vain to get Victor to remember her again. Janine tries to tell him the truth about who she really is but she eventually backs out for fear that the revelation might take a toll on him.
Janine later gets lectured by Sonia for trying to tell Victor the truth. She laments over her ordeal and agrees not to tell him who she really is so his condition doesn’t worsen. Janine manages to convince her mother-in-law to let her stay by Victor’s side occasionally on the condition that she keep her mouth shut.
In the meantime, Victor begins to question his “wife” about her “friend” Janine and she evades his questions. Yvonne later has a talk with her mother about the unusual setup with her ex-husband and how things could go horribly wrong. Carmen strives to convince her daughter to open her heart to rebuilding her family.
At the hospital, Janine takes care of Victor and when he questions her about why she’s so nice to him, she begins spinning some long tales of their friendship. At the insurance company, Yvonne gets lambasted by her superior for making the lowest sales among the team. Albert observes from the doorway. Yvonne later meets up with Albert over drinks and apologizes for disappointing him.
Albert lectures her on how to keep pressing on. Yvonne’s attempt to sell insurance to a fellow customer at the restaurant goes horribly wrong. Later while she talks with Albert outside, Daria happens to see them together and she concludes that they’re dating. Upon arrival home, she begins to spread the ridiculous gossip.
During the next visit at the hospital, Marcus accidentally tells his father about the death of his grandpa Jaime and how his mother holds him responsible. Victor begins stressing himself over the shocking revelation, distressed with the fact that he’s responsible for the death of his father-in-law.
Yvonne’s attempts to calm him down proves futile and as he continues acting out, the doctor is called in to salvage the situation with the help of her team. Later, Janine confronts Yvonne about what had happened to Victor. An exchange of words ensue followed by sweet slaps.Yvonne threatens to k!ll Janine the next time she tries to slap her again.
As Janine begins questioning her again about what she had done to her husband, Marcus comes over and apologizes to his mother profusely for telling Victor about Jaime’s death and that seems to shut Janine up but only for a moment. Janine begins blabbering about her intention of taking her husband to America to be treated by the best doctors.
While Sonia strives to reason with her, Yvonne gives her a piece of her mind. Yvonne is reluctant to let Victor come and live with her and their son since he already has another family. Janine tries to transfer Victor to another hospital to have his memories worked on and the doctor makes it a point to talk some sense into her. Doris expresses her disgust and Sonia too without words to say.
Meanwhile, Yvonne discusses her situation with Albert and she goes on about how she doesn’t want to give her son false hope. Once Victor wakes up at the hospital, he begins making a scene and asking to see his wife (Yvonne). Janine gets shoved to the floor by Victor and discarded completely in his frenzy for Yvonne.
