Victor Discards His Wife For His Ex. Yvonne & Janine Strike An Unusual Deal To Help Victor With His Recovery. Victor Struggles To Reconnect With Yvonne. Janine Becomes Paranoid & Desperate.
Yvonne gets caught in a tight spot as Sonia desperately pleads with her to take care of Victor and continue pretending that she’s still his wife until he fully recovers. Janine decides to allow this but not before staking her claim and right to her husband. Her attempt to take care of Victor on one occasion goes horribly wrong.
Mrs. Gopez reprimands her son for his unending obsession with Janine; Dale speaks out his mind and blames her for his current situation. Marcus pays a visit to his father at the hospital to finally reunite with him. On the other hand, Audrey pesters her mother with her earnest request to see Victor.
Sonia sits Yvonne and Janine down to discuss the terms of the agreement and after Janine serves a strict lame warning, she suffers a spotting incident and risks losing her baby. Victor treats his legally wedded wife with indifference when she returns for another visit with Audrey.
Being called “dad” by the little girl doesn’t seem to help matters. Sonia confronts Janine and lashes out at her for bringing Audrey to Victor and she justifies her actions. In the meantime, Victor asks a nurse about his real condition. Dale lamely looks forward to fully recovering and looking for and reconnecting with Janine for good.
He soon hires a private investigator to find her. Devastated and majorly upset with how Victor continuously discards her and asks for Yvonne, Janine plans to tell him the whole truth. However, things don’t go her way. When Audrey asks of her “father’s” condition, Janine tries to make her understand.
Victor asks of his father-in-law and Marcus lets slip the part he had played in Jaime’s dëäth; the troubling news takes a toll on Victor, and that leads to an overdue altercation and faceoff between Janine and Yvonne, with some slaps thrown in for good measure.
Victor discards Janine in the worst way possible and makes a scene as he years for Yvonne. In spite of Sonia’s efforts to convince her, Yvonne turns down her unconventional request.
Janine is compelled to accept an agreement to let Victor stay with his former wife, worried that he might not remember her and her daughter. She picks a fight with Yvonne after Victor surprised her with a ki$$. For her son’s sake, Yvonne changes her mind and reluctantly agrees to take her ex-husband home and keep up the pretense.
Victor desperately pleads for forgiveness from Carmen and begins to settle down at home with his “wife” and son. Albert dines out with Yvonne and Victor is left in a state of confusion when he realizes that his “wife” had changed her name and is now using her own family name.
Janine resolves to spy on them and when Yvonne catches her in the act, she confronts her. Upon arrival home, Carla gives her dear friend a reality check. Yvonne continues her friendship with Albert, to hell with how Victor might take it. The Aguiluz family is delighted with the news of Doris being pregnant.
However, Gary is left shocked and confused since he’s impotent. Once she finds out that her rival had redrawn the concubinage case against her, Janine seeks her attorney’s counsel on Yvonne’s probable motive before proceeding to send her a lame letter of appreciation with an earnest request for Victor’s return.
Yvonne reacts with disgust and resentment and Marcus is delighted as he’s of the impression that his parents have finally reconciled. Meanwhile, Carla gives Janine a lifeline that could help her pay off all of her debts.
