Marcus Finds Out About His Father’s Condition & Blames Janine. Victor Is Taken Care of By His Family & Loved Ones. Janine Encounters Dale’s Mother At The Hospital. Yvonne Struggles To Do Right By Her Son.
The episode picks up right with the staring contest between Yvonne and Janine. After a while, the latter walks out of the room as she recalls their countless altercations on Victor’s account.
Yvonne stares down at her misëräble ex-husband and reflects on the all the bad memories with him. When she storms out of the room, Janine actually thanks her. Yvonne merely gives her a look before carrying on.
Later, the doctor updates Janine on Victor’s condition and urges her to take care of him and tell him good stories even if he doesn’t respond. Marlon brings Marcus home after school and he and his mother resolve to keep from him what had happened to Victor; Marlon couldn’t care less if the shameless guy is bedridden or not.
Janine gets pretty emotional as she talks to her daughter on phone and urges her to pray for her and her “father”. Yvonne seems distracted at work due to Victor’s condition and when Albert asks why she seems affected, she tells him that she had never once wished for his dëäth in spite of all the pain he had caused her.
Marcus finds the lame birthday card Victor had made for Yvonne before and when she sees it, she breaks down. Sonia takes care of her son and urges him to fight for his life. In an interesting turn of events, Mrs. Gopez rants nonstop as her son Dale is being wheeled into the hospital where Janine happens to have just arrived.
Marcus has a terrible dream of how his father had fallen off a cliff and he gets pretty distressed and asks if something had happened to him. In no time, he’s brought to the hospital and when he sees the condition Victor is in, he lashes out at Janine and blames her.
He then urges his father to hang on and not leave them. Yvonne hangs out with her friends and they talk about the recent incident. She assures them that she no longer has feelings for Victor anymore and Mimi brings up the case she had filed against him.
After having Marlon take Marcus home, Carmen spends some time at Victor’s bedside and hopes that he pushes through in spite of everything.Mrs. Gopez picks a fight with Janine upon setting eyes on her at the hospital, taunting her with her rumored affair with a married man.
At home, Marcus urges his mother to go with him to visit his father on Saturday. Yvonne notes that his father already has a new family and wife who’s responsible for taking care of him. After Dale is admitted in one of the rooms at the hospital, his mother reprimands him for his unending obsession with Janine.
In the meantime, Carmen lectures Janine on the importance of wedding rings and urges her to take good care of them. She says she hopes that no one gets left behind this time. Yvonne goes to see her lawyer in the company of her friends, having second thoughts with pursuing the case against her misëräble ex-husband.

Carla worries about how to raise such a huge sum of money for Victor’s surgery and Janine declares that she would find a way at all cost to ensure that Victor gets better. Yvonne suddenly shows up at the hospital with Marcus and Mimi who proceed to go and see Victor. Carla also leaves and Yvonne engages Janine in a battle of words about their situation.
Janine blabbers about how Victor would never abandon his son or neglect his responsibilities to him. Yvonne resolves to allow that so her son doesn’t get deprived of the privileges her daughter has been enjoying. She asks Janine if they have a deal or whether she’s just manipulating her.
