“Why? Why, Romina? I did everything to stay alive and come back to you. I did everything I could, just to see you again. But why did you give up on us? I don’t know who that Leon is to you. But I am not going to lose my family.”
Eva snatched back her phone and ran off. As Leon tried to reach Romina on the phone, Alvin showed up. Meanwhile, Daniela told Hector about Leon’s talk with the survivor and how he was probably double crossing him. Alvin traded some words with Leon, not believing the tale he was spinning.
Leon disarmed him and ran off. Alvin informed his brother about his run-in with Leon, and Hector ordered him to find Leon and Robert. Romina asked a coast guard about her husband and the fishing vessel they had caught. She went through their records and saw an entry dated ‘february 19′ (the day of Robert’s helicopter crash)
“Robert, did you really survive?”
Hector informed Daniela that her father was alive. He asked her to go to the island before Romina beat her to it since Leon had officially betrayed them. Alvin asked around the island about Robert, but he had no such luck. Eva, who wore a disguise, snapped a photo of him and slipped away.
Leon arrived at the mansion and told Romina that there was something she had to know. Before he could go into detail, Mina received a phone call from Paco, asking about his father. At the Herrera residence, some goons came out of nowhere and subdued Paco.
A scumbag told Leon over the phone to go to where his wife and daughter were buried if he wanted to see his son, threatening to burry him with the rest of his family if he didn’t come alone or alerted the police. Leon hurried out.As soon as Eva got home, she started packing up her things.
She showed Alvin’s photo to Robert, saying that he was looking for him. While Eva went back for the bag she had left her money in, Robert took advantage of the opportunity and locked her inside the hut. As Robert made his escape, Eva pounded on the door, yelling like a savage madwoman.
Robert boarded a boat a moment before Daniela came asking around about him. A woman told her that he lived with Eva. Danny girl found Eva and asked about her father, and the psychotic woman insisted that he was her husband. Leon arrived at the cemetery and asked about his son. Hector was pissed off, refusing to believe that he hadn’t told Romina anything.
He pulled a güñ on him, and Leon parried it away and ran toward the van where Paco was being held captive in. Hector fired a shot, dropping Leon to the floor. Robert recalled his moments and memories with his family. Meanwhile, Daniela recognized her father on the boat and called out to him, but he seemed not hear or notice.
Robert arrived in a certain province and found a red rose. He smiled to himself as if he had just hit the jackpot. Meanwhile, Leon was rushed to the hospital, and Paco called Felix to inform him of the incident. Paco told Romina about how his dad had been mumbling her name on their way to the hospital.
“He wanted to tell me something before he left,” Mina said.
“What could it be about, miss beautiful?” Felix asked.
“That’s what I need to know.”
The surgeons operated on Leon and managed to remove the büllët. Robert hitched a ride into town. Meanwhile, Cassie called her mom and learned of how Leon had been shot and rushed into surgery. Robert arrived outside the Mondragon mansion, smiling to himself like he’d just won the lottery. “Romina, Cassie, I’m finally home.”
After Cassie left for the hospital, Robert sauntered into the mansion and overheard Neil’s conversation with Bonita about Leon. Disappointment etched on his face, Robert dropped the rose and ran out, and the security guard gave chase. The police asked Paco about his kidñappiñg, but he couldn’t give them any leads. Romina said Hector was definitely behind it since Leon had wanted to tell her something important before.
“Miss Romina…” Paco began.
“Paco, I’m sorry. But he’s not who you think he is.”
“Maybe Leon knows something about your case,” Bernard cut in.
Robert got emotional when he overheard a parents’ conversation with their kid. He recalled the incident earlier at the mansion. “Why? Why, Romina? I did everything to stay alive and come back to you. Snakeface informed his boss that they had a problem because Leon was at the hospital. Hector asked if he was alive and the goon said they didn’t know that yet. “Then find out. Make sure the guy flatlines for good. I want him dead.”
The surgeons performed a series of CPRs on Leon who had no pulse. Meanwhile, Cassie comforted Paco as he wailed over his dad’s promise not to leave him again. Kristoff looked on unnoticed. The police invited Hector to the precinct for questioning regarding the kidñappiñg of Paco and his father’s shooting. Roxanne looked on.
Some father she had. The doctor updated Paco and the others about Leon’s current condition, how he was still unconscious and under observation. Hector put on an act at the precinct, painting himself as the innocent father of the year. Meanwhile, Robert used a payphone to make a call.
“This is Robert Mondragon. I need your help.”Snakeface disguised himself as a cleaner and started creating a scene with one of the other goons. An officer came over to dismiss them. It was enough distraction for another goon to slip by. The scumbag glanced at an unconscious Leon and pulled out a silencer.
Paco and Felix came upon the scene. Felix struggled for the güñ as Paco called out for help. The goon managed to get away after kneeing Felix in the ribs. An unidentified person brought Robert a bag. Meanwhile, Romina confronted Hector at the precinct after he was released due to insufficient evidence.
She then received a call from Paco, telling her about the attempt on his father’s life. Robert brought the bag into his hangout and rifled through it. He found some cash and a cellphone among the clothes. He then made a call.
“Thank you for this. You are the only one that I can trust right now. So please don’t tell anyone that we’re in contact, until I uncover who tried to k!ll me. And why. I’m counting on you.”
