“I’m looking for someone. Mr. Robert. Robert Mondragon.You are Eva. You know Robert? Robert Mondragon?”
Savannah saw the news about the survivor who had been found, and she notified Daniela. Meanwhile, the Mondragons were shocked at the possibility of the survivor being Robert since he had been found around the time Robert had gone missing.
Romina was planning on finding out who the survivor really was. Daniela was determined to get ahead of Romina to save her reputation. And her secret. Romina went to the hospital with Bernard and Leon to search for the survivor.
Daniela noticed her and Hector sent Leon to go and distract her while Danny girl searched for her father. Leon called Romina to inform her that Daniela was in the building. They soon found that the survivor wasn’t Robert but a middle-aged Chinese man.
Somewhere in a hut in an undisclosed location, Robert woke up with a start, panting. Meanwhile, hearing that there were others who had escaped the fishing vessel, Leon asked the survivor about Robert, showing him his photo.
“I know him,” the survivor said. “He’s my friend!”
Robert ran out of the hut and stared straight at the sea. He yelled out Romina’s name. A flashback showed how he had been found floating on the sea two years ago, and then forced to work in the fishing vessel. The survivor recounted their life on the shipping vessel and how Robert had gotten shot during their escape.
A woman, by name, Eva, served Robert some food, rambling on about how she was so lucky to have him. A flashback revealed how she had found and nursed him back to life. Flashback : After regaining consciousness, Robert asked for a phone to call his family but Eva claimed that she didn’t have any.
Eva called an acquaintance and told them that she wouldn’t be coming back to the ship because she was now happy with her new life with her supposed husband. A moment later, she caught Robert with her phone. They both struggled for it, and Eva was knocked unconscious in the process.
Robert hurried out of the hut and soon found that there was no service in the area. As he tried to push a boat onto the sea, Eva came behind and struck him in the head, knocking him out cold. When he regained consciousness, the psychotic woman, wielding a kñifë, spouted some crap and insisted on serving him some food.
Present : Robert looked around, panting. “I have to leave this place. I need to get back to my family.”
Camp Romina discussed about the possibility of Robert still being alive. Romina was certain that Daniela was only trying to get in her way so she didn’t find out what Robert had wanted to tell her before the plane crash. Felix tried to convince his boss not to tell Romina about what he had just learned.
Leon said he just wanted what was best for her, adding that he would let her know once he found proof that Robert was alive. Overhearing the Bartolomes’ conversation about the Chinese survivor, Rosita came over and offered to translate for them at a price. Leon went to the island and asked the girls who had been boarding the ship occasionally about Robert, willing to pay for any information they had.
“Yeah, I’ve seen him on the ship. What do you need him for?”
“I need to see him. Do you know where he is right now?”
“No clue. But you can ask someone else… miss Eva. She might have an idea.”
Leon then paid up and got Eva’s number. Some guys told Eva about a pirate ship that had been caught by the coast guard. A moment later, she had a phone call. “Who is this?”
“I’m looking for someone,” Leon began. “Mr. Robert. Robert Mondragon.”
Eva hanged up suddenly and didn’t answer when her phone rang again. Leon walked the island, calling Eva’s line again. He soon noticed a woman who stood nearby as her phone rang, and he went over. “Eva?”
Eva turned to stare at Leon. With Rosita serving as her translator, Daniela soon learned that the survivor knew her father and the fact that Leon had also asked him about Robert. Back on the island, Leon asked the woman whether she was Eva but she denied it. He then called the number again and her phone rang. “You are Eva.”
“Leave me alone.” Leon stopped her as she tried to make a run for it. He picked up her cellphone which had fallen in the process and recognized her wallpaper. “You know Robert? Robert Mondragon?”
