Karma Finally Comes For Victor & Janine, Setting Up A Series of Dramatic & Heartbreaking Situations. Yvonne Decides To Move On, Only To Learn Of The Shocking Turn Of Events.
Mr. Hoffer makes his return to make Janine an offer she can’t afford to refuse. Victor blows a fuse upon seeing them together and Janine calls him out on his unfounded jealously. Audrey learns of the truth about her “father’s” son. Albert cautions his staff on account of a malicious scheme against him and Yvonne.
Upon getting wind of the ridiculous statement her misëräble ex-husband had filed against her, Yvonne flies into a rage as she confronts him. Having had enough of the trouble, Albert gives Victor an overdue beating and lesson in respect. Yvonne remains determined to stop at nothing to get Victor and Janine punished.
As Janine urges her husband to sacrifice his time with Marcus with the ongoing lawsuit, Yvonne considers resigning from the insurance company.Sonia resolves to keep Yvonne in the dark about how her ex-husband had married his mistress, in order to save her from further trouble.
However, Yvonne happens to find out anyway and she isn’t the least bit happy to learn that the truth had been deliberately kept from her. Janine figures Mr. Hoffer’s game and turns him down. Albert finally comes clean to Yvonne about his feelings for her.
Victor decides to make plans for his honeymoon with his new wife and in an interesting turn of events, karma comes knocking on his door, demanding payback for all of his atrocities; he gets into an intense car accident and ends up in a coma, leaving Janine distressed.
Yvonne learns of Victor’s condition and decides to pay him a visit. Mrs. Gopez encounters Janine at the same hospital her son is admitted in.Dale returns from abroad and refuses to listen to his mother’s counsel against Janine.
Marcus also comes for a visit and devastated with his father’s state, he lashes out at Janine and blames her. Victor is scheduled for a brain surgery to prolong his life and Janine calls for a truce with Yvonne and strives to come up with the money to foot the hospital bills.
Yvonne strikes a deal with Janine for their children’s sake and she ultimately resolves to drop the case against her ex-husband. Albert makes deliberate and constant attempts to win Yvonne over. Janine receives financial help from an anonymous person which happens to be from her rival.
Yvonne finally decides to come to terms with reality and let bygones be bygones. Following Victor’s successful surgery, Janine reaches out to Yvonne to offer some lame sorry excuse of an apology. Janine takes care of her husband and eagerly looks forward to his recovery.
After a couple of weeks, Victor finally regains consciousness and Janine is delighted. However, her happiness becomes short-lived when Victor doesn’t seem to remember her and thinks that Yvonne is still his wife.
Sonia reunites with her son and soon calls Yvonne to notify her of how things had turned out. The doctor’s attempt to trigger the recollection of Victor’s forgotten memories fails miserably, leaving Janine crushed and helpless.
Sonia interferes with Janine’s desperate attempt to make Victor remember her and the doctor soon updates them on his condition. Ultimately, Yvonne resolves to pay her “husband” a visit at the hospital and she painstakingly puts on a show for his benefit.
