Yvonne Picks Up The Pieces of Her Life. Audrey Has A Ridiculous Confrontation With Marcus. Janine Becomes Pregnant; Victor Plans To Marry Her. Marcus Goes Missing.
The episode begins with Marcus cooking some food for his mother and bringing it to her. Yvonne thanks him for the gesture but says that she isn’t hungry. Marcus resolves to make deliberate, constant efforts to take care of his dejected mother. Eventually, he calls his aunt Doris on phone to tell her about his mother’s condition.
Mimi and the rest of the family soon come over for a visit and when Yvonne refuses to come out of her room and insists on being alone, Sonia goes to reason with her not to give up. Though exasperated to learn of the annulment, Sonia lectures Yvonne and urges her to never give up for the sake of her son.
Eventually, Yvonne comes downstairs with Sonia and apologizes to her son and reunites with him. They then join the rest of the family for dinner.Janine has resorted to a garage sale to raise money and she’s saddened when her daughter decides to offer some of her favorite dolls to add to the collection.
She suddenly becomes nauseous and Carla puts meaning into it. Sonia arranges a meeting with Yvonne and Victor to talk out their issues so Marcus doesn’t get affected. She pleads with Yvonne not to deprive her son of his father’s løvë. Reluctantly, Yvonne agrees to let Victor visit Marcus.
She dishes out some occasional släps and warns him not to ever take their son to his mistress’. The next morning, Victor comes to pick up his son at home and Yvonne eagerly waves him goodbye as a tricycle speeds from behind. Fortunately, Albert sees the danger and quickly pulls her out of harm’s way as the misëräble driver speeds off.
From the rearview mirror, Victor the miserable ex-husband sees Yvonne in a somewhat embrace with Albert. So Victor proceeds to go out with Marcus, just as Janine gets a pregnancy test but delays in taking it. In the meantime, Yvonne is given the award of the financial advisor of the month at work.
Victor takes Marcus to the mall to buy him some stuff and he receives a phone call from Audrey asking that he buy her some ice cream and pizza. Once off the phone, another call comes in from Janine who excitedly urges him to come home early because she has something important to tell him.
In no time, Victor brings Marcus to his mistress’ place in spite of Yvonne’s warning. Speaking of, Yvonne receives a gift from Albert at work; it turns out to be a pretty expensive laptop and her coworkers begin eyeing her jealously and gossiping among themselves.
While Janine excitedly tells Victor about the good news of her pregnancy, Marcus meets Audrey and both kids talk about their fathers who happens to be the very same person. A quite ridiculous argument ensues over who is the actual child of Victor. Marcus hits Audrey and she cries irritatingly and that draws the attention of everyone.
After Janine takes her daughter upstairs, Victor questions his son about what he had done, saying that only bad boys hit girls. Marcus declares that he isn’t a bad boy; he says Victor is the bad boy because he had hurt his mother and left broken their family. During lunch break, Yvonne deals with the gossipmongers and chases them off.
Albert joins her at her table and gets her to laugh by actually eating her braised fish. Victor uses some lame cover-up story to calm down Marcus and soon drops him off at home. He then reaches out to Louie to talk to him about his situation and intention to marry Janine who happens to be pregnant for him.
Marlon urges his sister not to allow Victor see their son that often on account of the bad mood he had left him in. Yvonne worries about how Marcus would be affected when he comes to know of how his father had left them for his mistress and had a daughter with her. Marcus overhears this and the next morning, Yvonne is distressed to find him missing.
She reaches out to Victor and her friends and family for help. After a fruitless search, they proceed to file a report at the police station. Meanwhile, Marcus walks on the street somewhere in the outpouring rain at night and he slips, thereby hurting his knee. As a car approaches, coming right at him, he screams out in fright.
