Yvonne Confronts Victor For His Betrayal. Victor Takes The Easy Way Out With His Cowardly Decision: He Receives A Good Beating & Scolding From His Mother For His Actions. Yvonne & Marcus Struggle To Cope.
Yvonne apologizes to Doris for failing to pick up Marcus earlier, saying that something had come up and she doesn’t know whether her husband will come home or not. Doris says she understands and can’t wait to have her own child with Gary and that they, (Yvonne and Victor) should consider having a sibling for Marcus.
Later that night, Yvonne returns home by herself, just as Janine arrives home with Victor and thanks him for spending the day with her and her daughter. Marcus spends some time with Sonia (Victor’s mother) and hints at the problem his mother seems to have and Sonia tries to cheer him up.
As soon as Victor returns home, Yvonne confronts him about his mistress and other family. She laments over how he’s been lying to her and follows up with a flurry of slaps.Victor admits to everything and offers a lame ass apology and tries to get her to understand.
Nevertheless, Yvonne lashes out at him some more for his betrayal and practically chases him out of the house. Victor seeks refuge at Louie’s house and whines about how he doesn’t know how to face his wife and son. Louie urges him to make the right decision. A moment later, Victor shows up at Janine’s house in the outpouring rain and she gladly takes him in.
As Yvonne continues to be miserable on account of her husband’s betrayal, Janine expresses remorse for ruining Victor’s family. Victor takes the blame but refuses to go back to his wife because he doesn’t want to lose his mistress. On this note, he continues his deception and affair with Audrey and Janine.
Yvonne wakes up to find that her husband hasn’t returned until now so she spends the whole day moping around. During dinner at the Alcanez residence, the family receive a surprise visit from Gary’s mother Daria, who surprises them some more by declaring her intention to stay with them.
Yvonne buys some groceries at the supermarket and when her receipt turns up missing, the guard insists on taking her to the security office to sort things out. As fate will have it, Albert happens to be there and comes through for Yvonne yet again by finding the receipt which had been stuck to the sole of her shoe all this time.
Yvonne grudgingly thanks him for his help. After Victor spends some more time with his make-believe family, he calls his sister Doris on phone to ask her to check up on Marcus for him.Doris is distressed with what she had learnt from Mimi earlier about a supposed friend of Yvonne who has a cheating husband.
She’s inclined to believe that it’s Gary and when she confronts him, he reveals that Victor is the one who has actually been cheating on Yvonne. Daria eavesdrops. Carmen brings Marcus home and Yvonne gladly reunites with him. When Carmen asks why she looks tired and where Victor is, Yvonne claims that she’s just tired. She avoids the question about her husband entirely.
Later, Victor wanders around the house in the absence of his family. Yvonne brings Marcus home from school and when he asks of his father and her relationship with him, she assures him that they’re just having a misunderstanding but hopes things turn out well.Victor spies on his family miserably as he observes and breaks down silently.
So Daria opens her big mouth to talk about Victor’s rumored betrayal at the dining table. Sonia gets pretty upset and resolves to go and confront him. In the meantime, Doris reaches out to Yvonne to ask her about her situation with her husband and Yvonne goes on about how Victor had been cheating on her with a mistress and another family.
Doris sympathizes but urges her to fight as the legal wife and get rid of the other woman who wants to steal her husband. Yvonne vows not to give up but fight for her husband and family. Later, Victor is called over to the Alcanez house for a talk with his mother. Sonia confronts him about his other family and dishes out some slaps to spice things out.
Victor miserably apologizes and Sonia demands that he leave his other woman and go back to his wife. Victor laments, saying that it’s not easy.Sonia roughs up his son some more and threatens to confront his mistress. In the meantime, Yvonne assists her son in making a toy house for his arts project. She later drops him off at school along with the other kids.
As fate will have it, an obnoxious classmate belittles Marcus’ project and insults his father as well and even destroys his “house” in the process. Marcus snaps and pounces on the brat and destroys his project too. Yvonne chances upon the scene and breaks it off.
A moment later, the principal assures her that the incident won’t repeat itself again and Marcus apologizes for the trouble. Yvonne is disheartened to learn of why her son had fought the other boy. Later that night at home, Marcus laments over his father’s absence and Yvonne promises to bring him back home.
