Victor Prioritizes His Family & Strives To Reconcile With Janine. Yvonne Is Devastated To Discover That Her Husband Has Another Family.
Victor comes over to his dear spellbound wife and when asked who Janine is, he claims that she’s his coworker’s wife who needed help, adding that it was an emergency. Janine looks on in disbelief and plays along with Victor’s preposterous lie. Upon coming to learn of his son’s accident, Victor abandons Janine and Audrey to go and be with his family.
He apologizes to his son for his disappearing act and justifies it with the lie he’s been telling. After Marcus is treated back to normal health, Victor tries to slip away to go and see Audrey and his mother. Gary his brother-in-law sees through his act and warns him to stay away from “that woman” before things get worse.
Janine laments and whines to Carla about the presence of Victor’s real family at the hospital and how he had prioritized them. Some nurses come for Audrey to transfer her to another room so she could get x-rayed. As usual, the little girl begins whining about wanting to be with her father. Janine and her daughter are left in disbelief to see Victor leaving the hospital with Yvonne and Marcus.
Upon arrival home, Yvonne asks her husband why he had seemed nervous at the hospital earlier and the miserable man accredits it to the guilt of not being there for their son when he needed him.
Victor tries to call Janine on phone but she refuses to answer. The next morning, Marcus is dropped off at school by his parents. The principal gives them the good news of how the boy had won second place in the art contest and the Guevarras jubilate.
Later, Yvonne has a talk with Mimi and an acquaintance about how her husband has been acting strange of late and might be hiding something. The girls use a checklist to insinuate that Victor might be cheating on her with another woman. Speaking of, Victor goes to the flower farm in search of Janine after his inability to reach her on phone.
Carla lets slip the new hospital she had transferred Audrey to and he proceeds to go there and see her.
Janine treats him with indifference and whines about how she has no rights to him since she’s only his mistress. Victor says he can’t afford to lose her and Audrey blah blah blah. Janine makes a pathetic attempt to break things off and chase him away.
Yvonne chances upon Albert somewhere in town struggling to fix his broken down car and she surprises him by going out of her way to fix it for him. Albert thanks her. Upon her return home, Victor tells Yvonne of how he supposedly needs to stay overnight at the workplace to finish his products.
Later, while he’s in the shower, Yvonne finds his second phone on charge and she copies the number of the “J” contact. At work, Yvonne develops cold feet and refrains from calling the number to confirm her suspicions. While the school principal asks Yvonne to drive her to the hospital, Victor pays Audrey a surprise visit.
He excitedly wheels her out of the room for a checkup and as fate will have it, he’s noticed by the principal as he confirms to a nurse that he’s the father of the little girl. The next morning, the principal recounts to Yvonne how she had seen Victor with a little girl who was supposedly his daughter at Saint Agnes Hospital. Yvonne is shocked with the prospect of her dear husband having another family.
Victor looks forward to making it up to Audrey so Janine would change her mind about ending things with him. Yvonne isn’t able to remain focus at work so she resolves to go to the hospital to put her worries to rest. Once she notices Janine there, she calls the “J” contact and she is shocked and devastated to see Janine answer her phone in that instant.
Yvonne storms over to confront Janine but she’s compelled to back out as Audrey comes over to her mother. Reflecting on some memories with her husband, Yvonne slips into the washroom and begins crying her eyes and heart out. Victor decides to take Janine and Audrey to the beach as his way of making it up to them. Yvonne reaches out to Mimi at the gym to confide in her and she encounters Albert who insists on treating them.
At the restaurant, when Yvonne asks why men have the habit of cheating on their spouses, Albert points out that not all men are cheaters. He figures out her situation and urges her to go and confront her husband before things get worse. Mimi is distressed to learn of how Victor betrayed Yvonne with another family. Yvonne plans to confront dear husband when he gets home.
