Victor & Janine Continue With Their Pretense With Audrey. As Yvonne Strives To Deal With Her Family’s Misfortune, She Sees Her Husband With Another Woman.
Victor and Janine observe as Audrey plays excitedly with a couple of her schoolmates. Victor admits his fondness for the little girl and requests to continue seeing her from time to time. He declares that he would be her father until she doesn’t need him, no demands or strings attached.
Janine shakes hands with Victor to seal their friendship. She then proceeds to recount to him her own struggles during her childhood. Upon arrival home a moment later, Audrey asks her “father” to stay with them for the night since she’s missed her a lot, and Janine comes up with a cover up story to justify why Victor has to leave.
Ironic enough, Audrey compels her supposed father and mother to say “I løvë you” to each other. Later that night, Yvonne lies in bed with her husband and asks of his day. Victor subtly evades her question and advances as well. When Yvonne professes her løvë for him, he recalls the incident between him and Janine earlier.
Yvonne happily rests her head on her husband’s chest, saying that she hopes they can remain happy forever. The next morning during breakfast, the couple discuss about Marlon (Janine’s runaway brother) and banter each other. In the meantime, Yvonne’s parents, Carmen and Jaime Aguiluz, go about their daily life. Carmen sees her husband off to work and later goes to see him at the farm to deliver his lunch.
Unfortunately, she suddenly passes out and Jaime rushes her to the hospital before calling Yvonne on phone to notify her. A moment later, Yvonne meets up with her father at the hospital and they inquire about Carmen’s condition. The doctor fills them in and much to their disbelief, they’re told that Mrs. Aguiluz has to undergo a very expensive surgery worth three thousand bucks.
Jaime beats himself up and Yvonne encourages him and assures him that they would find a way to get her mother treated.Jaime considers selling his land to ensure that his dear wife gets the treatment she needs to recover and be able to walk again. Yvonne objects to the idea and insists on using her savings.
Victor meets up with his equally misëräble buddy to talk to him about his situation with Audrey and Janine. The guy taunts Victor and gives him a reality check, all the while lecturing him on how everything could backfire. He says Victor shouldn’t play with fire if he doesn’t want to get burned, adding that he clearly has an interest in Janine besides his concern for her daughter.
In no time, Victor receives a phone call from his wife, telling him about her mother’s hospitalization. He soon shows up at the hospital and promises to find a way to help her out with footing the bills. Yvonne is turned down when she goes to apply for a loan so she calls Doris her sister-in-law to ask for her assistance.
Yvonne proceeds to meet up with Doris at her house and since the money she receives is barely enough to go round, she’s recommended a part-time job at a night market to make some more money. Janine is going out with her daughter when the car decides to develop a flat tire without warning. After she fails to reach Carla on phone for help, she resolves to change the tire herself. Victor comes upon the scene and observes for a while as Janine struggles to get the job done.
Eventually, he shows himself, much to the delight of Audrey and goes right ahead to change the tire. Yvonne returns to the hospital and prompts her mother that it’s time to take her medicine. Carmen merely tells her that she looks forward to getting good news about Marlon. She gets quite emotional and has Yvonne promise to find her brother for her wherever he is.
That night, Yvonne arrives home to find the place deserted. She receives a phone call from Doris who tells her that Marcus would be spending the night at her place: Victor couldn’t pick him up because he had something important to do. Whatever the hell that means. Ironic enough, Victor dines with Janine and Audrey at a restaurant somewhere and he’s thanked for all his help. After Audrey leaves to play with some kids, things get pretty awkward when Victor and Janine are mistaken for husband and wife by a waiter.
Victor carries a sleeping Audrey into the house and when Janine thanks him for everything and offers to help him out with whatever he needs, he states that he doesn’t seek to be rewarded because he’s come to care for her and her daughter. The next morning, Victor’s efforts of making breakfast for his wife comes to nothing when she makes haste to dress up and leave early to secure a spot for the night market.
Yvonne is given an unfavorable spot for the night market but resolves to think positive and encourage herself that she would be able to make the money she needs. She soon goes to buy some products to sell. Victor is delighted when his boss assigns him to a new client at the craft shop.
After Yvonne leaves for the night market in a hurry, he calls Doris on phone to check up on Marcus who had slept over there. While Yvonne struggles to sell her products at the night market, Victor goes drinking at a bar and calls Janine to talk to her about his promotion. Janine shows up in person to join him and gladly agrees to keep him company.
Yvonne doesn’t have much luck with her sale of products right up to the closing time of the night market. While Victor drives Janine home, Yvonne also boards a jeepney headed for home. At a red light, Victor stops Janine’s car near the jeepney and as fate will have it, Yvonne happens to see him and looks on in disbelief.
